Slaughtering Oxen in the Megang Day Tradition and Several Pictures of Fish Ponds and Irrigation

Hello friends, how are you today and hopefully we are all still in good health and can participate in activities smoothly.

On this happy occasion, I would like to show again some interesting pictures that I prepared this afternoon when I saw livestock being slaughtered, namely cattle. For tomorrow in our place there is a condition, namely the megang tradition where many people slaughter livestock such as cattle and buffalo to sell at the market. Then the second image display is a picture of the atmosphere in the fish pond and also in an irrigation canal close to the fish pond. So before I continue discussing the picture that I have prepared, it would be good if I would first say my words of respect to all my friends wherever they are and hopefully the best will always be for all of us. OK, friends, let's look at the pictures that I have prepared.

So next to my brother's house there were two cows that wanted to be slaughtered. Usually it is slaughtered at 12.00 at night but this is because there are two icons of oxen to be slaughtered so one is done this afternoon and then at 12.00 at night another one will be slaughtered. The megang tradition is carried out every year in the area where we live and usually this megang tradition is celebrated when we want to welcome the holy month of Ramadan and also to welcome Eid. On the day it was held in the morning, there were already lots of people selling meat at the market and then they were followed by lots of buyers, namely people in the area. This megang tradition has existed since our ancestors and until now this tradition is still carried out by the people who live in our area.

Then for the second image display that I want to show, namely a picture of the atmosphere in the fish pond and also the atmosphere near the irrigation canal. The place I work is in one of the fish ponds in the Sawah District area. And this is the location of the fish farming area and then I also took several pictures of the irrigation canals. This dedication channel functions as a channel that can spread water to agricultural lands and also to fish ponds where I work.

OK, friends, those are some of the pictures that I can show you today and hopefully these pictures can entertain all my friends and make them beautiful pictures for us to look at together. Thank you to all my friends who have given me encouragement and opportunities and see you again later in my next post.

Note, the words I wrote in this article are in Indonesian, and I first wrote them in the smartphone notes application section. Then to translate into English I used Google's help.
