Another Boring Day As Usual
Every day has its uniqueness, depending on how we plan and execute our activities, it can either be fun or boring. Yesterday was Sunday, I woke up feeling so lazy, probably because I had plans not to go to church, and my mom frowned at it badly. I had to take the whips because It was something I planned for, I know it's bad but I intended that in the evening, I would go to a fellowship close by but in the end, It didn't even work out.
Sundays used to be very boring, I love weekends but whenever Sunday comes, it makes me wish I could fast-forward time. Sunday looks like a free day but it's not, it's one of the days when we get so busy trying to prepare for Monday and it can be so frustrating.
So, I said I was going to try something different yesterday, although my day started with a tiff with my Mom because I refused to go to church. When she came back from church, she changed and went for meetings, you know mothers with meetings. I was suddenly left all alone in the house as arranged.
I have some work to put in place as usual but I said "no," I was not going to do anything, I was going to give myself some rest today. I already have some movies lined up on my phone. I started with ADIRE, it has been on my phone for a long and I thought it would be boring because I don't usually like Nigerian movies, LoL. But after watching this one, I felt like having more.
Immediately after watching the movie, NEPA took light, I wanted to proceed to watch another movie, but the heat was unbearable, In no time I was soaked, and I had to go and take my bath again. NEPA spoiled the show, I couldn't stay at home anymore. Maybe God wanted to punish me for not going to church, LOL.
I decided to go out without having anywhere in mind. On the road, I thought of visiting my favorite eatery to treat myself nicely, but I didn't have enough money, then the thought of Friday my very good friend came, we are in the same area but it's been almost two weeks since we met since I have some free time, I decided to visit him.
He was so surprised to see me because I came without notifying him, after we spoke for some time, he told me was preparing to travel down to Abuja. He wanted to go in the evening but I persuaded him to put his things in order and go immediately because of the security challenge in the country and also how drivers behave on the road.
He bought the idea, and I accompanied him to the road where he took a bike and went to the park. From there I came back home and tried to sleep but couldn't because of the heat. So, I went for a walk, I intended to go and watch football but when I got there it was just some children I saw playing, I instantly lost interest.
It was such a long distance, that I couldn't just go back immediately because I said I was not going to board a bike to come home. So I sat down under one of the mango trees there and played some songs on my phone for some time and when it was 6:00 pm, I returned home.
I thought my Mother was already back but she was not, power was not restored and my battery was low. I just got angry and turned off the phone and I forced myself to sleep. When I woke up, it was already 8:00 pm, and my fan's blades were moving very fast, light was finally restored.
Was Anything Achieved?
I don't even know what to say but I was able to visit a friend who I am supposed to have visited but was covering up with being busy. At least, even if I don't see him for the next week, he knows I care about him. That sounds like an achievement, LoL.
Do I Look Forward To Tomorrow With The Same Energy?
Nothing much was achieved yesterday, so I won't say I look forward to tomorrow with the same energy, I felt like I wasted my day for not doing anything. It made things worse for me, I have to carry over all the work of yesterday to today.
