Today I wanted to appreciate a little bit of time spent looking at photos with my son!

Photo Appreciation

I've taken so many pictures over the years.. it was nice for my son to enjoy some of them!

This will be a picture laden post, sorry if it's too much :D

My picture collection is quite extensive at this point. I automatically load those to a cloud hosting solution, and there are over 10 gigabytes of pictures. That's a pretty crazy amount, considering! I wouldn't consider myself a professional photographer, but for sure a decent hobbyist.

The other day the little man was interested in seeing what was on an SD card and it ended up turning into a bit of a fun trip down memory lane with him. He got to see a lot of photographs that we took, and many that we took of him, and yet more that he never saw before. It was really cool!

I think one of my favorite things about taking so many pictures is that I have really fond and vivid memories with them. There are so many times where I look at a picture and can almost instantly remember where we were, what I was doing, and what the little man and I were doing at the time. The vast majority of the pictures these days are taken with him and I think that's a special thing for me. There are going to be times in the near future where I won't get to share those tender moments as he gets older and things change, so being able to appreciate it now is great.

It was a fun bit of time that I spent with him, just looking at the photos. I know that it didn't seem like a lot, but I guess it's one of those weird things that parents do. We get random moments where we get a little choked up and something ends up being incredibly special. I love having those types of things!

I think it will be cool to be able to collect and store these over a really long period of time and work on a little bit of a personal photography project, where I try to pick photos and write a few words about where we were, what we were doing and roughly how old he was at the time. The age part is the one that will take the most time, as that's not as clear as other things haha. I guess I'm glad that I remember as many details as I do, and it's not that bad when some of them are a little fuzzy..

The times like this are fleeting, but we try to make the most of them when we get them!
