Good evening adventurous friends, I am about to reach the end of the places I traveled in my trip to Merida state last January, this particular adventure recharged me with good energies, it made me feel so fortunate for the landscapes and history that awaits every corner of my country Venezuela.
I also visited the Laguna de Mucubají which by the way I wanted to visit many years ago and had not had the opportunity, when I saw the places to visit on this trip and the lagoon was among them I did not hesitate to take the tour, it is located in the Sierra Nevada National Park in the Venezuelan Andes.
The surroundings of the Laguna de Mucubají are composed of a valley partially covered by mountains and trees, the formation of this lagoon was a product of the melting of glaciers that were in the area thousands of years ago specifically in the last ice age, is currently fed constantly with the flow of water from the Quebrada Mucubají and apparently has little depth and vegetation are observed at the bottom of it.
On the walk along the shore you could see some rocks and the water looked as if it had frosted or glistened by the reflection of the sun on the lagoon at that time of day, all the people around seemed excited by such captivating natural beauty.
Then there was a pier with a path for a closer view to the center of the lagoon and it was crowded with people taking pictures, from there you had a more panoramic view of the mountains and its surroundings.
We walked a bit away from the Laguna de Mucubají walking for a while along a long road to explore what else was in the place, among which there were handicraft sales, a cafe to taste some food or sweets, people could ride a horse, fishing for trout or simply taking a ride in pedal boats, as well as other natural elements such as the stream of the Mucubají Creek and a valley with frailejones that are part of the vegetation that can be found in several places in the state of Mérida.
The weather was quite warm and not so cold, although it is said that in the season from July to September it could be a bit cold and even experience a snowfall, back to our bus there was a different view, with a sky blue color and even more beautiful view of the Mucubají Lagoon.
My heart feels happy for the joy of knowing this extraordinary place, attractive for lovers and adventure lovers like me.

Buenas noches amigos aventureros, ya estoy por llegar al final de los lugares que recorrí en mi viaje el estado Mérida el pasado mes de enero, esta aventura en particular me recargo de buenas energías, me hizo sentir tan afortunada de los paisajes e historia que aguarda cada rincón de mi país Venezuela.
También conocí la Laguna de Mucubají que por cierto quería visitar hace muchos años atrás y no había tenido la oportunidad, cuando ví los sitios a visitar de este viaje y se encontraba entre ellos la laguna no dude en tomar el tour, está se encuentra ubicado en el Parque Nacional Sierra Nevada en la Cordillera de los Andes Venezolanos.
Los alrededores de la Laguna de Mucubají se encuentran compuesto por un valle parcialmente cubierto de montañas y árboles, la formación de esta laguna fue producto de el derretimiento de los glaciares que se encontraban en la zona hace miles de años específicamente en la última era de hielo, actualmente es alimentada constantemente con el flujo de agua de la Quebrada Mucubají y tiene aparentemente escasa profundidad y se observan vegetación en el fondo de la misma.
En la caminata por su orilla podía observarse algunas rocas y que el agua pareciese como si tuviera escarchada o con brillo por el reflejo de sol en la laguna para ese momento del día, todos las personas alrededor parecían emocionadas por tan cautivadora belleza natural.
Luego había un muelle con un camino para una visión más cercana al centro de la laguna y estaba repleto de gente tomando fotografías, desde ahí se tenía una vista más panorámica de la montañas y sus alrededores.
Nos alejamos un poco de la Laguna de Mucubají caminando un rato por una larga carretera para explorar que otras cosas se encontraban en el lugar, entre las cuáles habían ventas de artesanías, un cafetín para degustar alguna comida o dulces, las personas podían montar a caballo, pescar su trucha o sencillamente dar un paseo en botes con pedales, así como podían verse también otros elementos naturales como la corriente de la Quebrada Mucubají y un valle con frailejones que son parte de la vegetación que podemos encontrar en varios sitios del estado Mérida.
El clima fue bastante cálido y no tan frío, aunque se dice que en la temporada de julio a septiembre podría hacer algo de frío e incluso experimentar una nevada, de regreso a nuestro autobús había una vista distinta, con un color azul celeste y aún más hermosa de la Laguna de Mucubají.
Mi corazón se siente contento por la dicha de conocer este extraordinario lugar, atractivo para los amantes de los amantes y aventura como yo.
