Hi, #TBT friends, reviewing old pictures I came across some that date back to 2010 approximately and wow it made me nostalgic, it was the wedding of one of my cousins in which I was a bridesmaid, I remember this day especially because it was the first time I wore a different color dress than black, since I used to dress only in black, I LOVE madly that color and rarely wore something different, but as I was going to be part of the cortege I had no choice, I had to wear the color that my cousin (the bride) chose, it's a nice color, just that I, the black sheep of the family was not used to it hehe, plus my mom did my hair and this was the result.
Hola, amigos de #TBT, revisando viejas fotografías me encontré con unas que datan del 2010 aproximadamente y vaya que me dio nostalgia, se trata de la boda de una de mis primas en la cual fui dama de honor, osea parte del cortejo, recuerdo este día especialmente porque fue la primera vez que usé un vestido de color diferente al negro, ya que yo solía vestirme solo de negro, AMO con locura ese color y raras veces usaba algo diferente, pero como yo iba a formar parte del cortejo no tenía otra opción, tenía que usar el color que mi prima (la novia) eligió, es un lindo color, solo que yo, la oveja negra de la familia no estaba acostumbrada jeje, además mi mamá me arregló el cabello y este fue el resultado.
I wish I could recover the video of the rehearsal of the courtship dance because it was really fun to see everything we were preparing (the video has very bad quality obviously because it is old) but still you could appreciate everything that was happening, the funniest thing was to see that the very day of the wedding they did not play the waltz that I had requested, the one we had rehearsed (The waltz of the Nutcracker flowers) so we had to make a mix between improvisation and what we had previously rehearsed, even so it was very good, the guests liked it very much.
Ojalá pudiera recuperar el video del ensayo del baile del cortejo porque realmente era muy divertido ver todo lo que estábamos preparando (el video tiene muy mala calidad obviamente porque es viejo) pero aún así se podía apreciar todo lo que sucedía, lo más gracioso fue ver que el mero día de la boda no pusieron ele vals que yo había pedido, el que habíamos ensayado (El vals de las flores del Cascanueces) así que tuvimos que hacer una mezcla entre la improvisación y lo que habíamos ensayado previamente, aún así quedó muy bien, a los invitados les gustó mucho.
My cousin looked beautiful that day, her dress was gorgeous and best of all it was sewn by her mom (my aunt who we sadly lost to covid) so that dress and veil are precious memories that have double sentimental value to my dear cousin. Her husband, (my new cousin) also looked handsome and best of all my cousin had him wear a green tie to match bridesmaids of the cortege, the gentlemen were also to wear green ties.
Mi prima se veía hermosa ese día, su vestido era bellísimo y lo mejor de todo fue que lo cosió su mamá (mi tía a quien lamentablemente perdimos a causa del covid) así que ese vestido y el velo son recuerdos preciosos que tienen un doble valor sentimental para mi querida prima. Su esposo, (mi nuevo primo) también se veía guapo y lo mejor de todo es que mi prima hizo que él llevara una corbata verde para que combinara con las damas del cortejo, los caballeros también debían llevar corbata verdes.
It was a very emotional and wonderful day for everyone, there was delicious food, excellent music, laughter and dancing, but best of all was to see friends and family all together, having a beautiful time, unfortunately, as I told you, we lost my aunt to Covid 19 in 2021 but at least these memories remain that fill our hearts and spirits with joy.
Fue un día muy emotivo y maravilloso para todos, hubo comida deliciosa, música excelente, risas y baile, pero lo mejor de todo fue ver a amigos y familiares todos juntos, pasando un momento hermoso, lamentablemente, como ya les dije, perdimos a mi tía a causa del Covid 19 en el 2021 pero al menos quedan estos recuerdos que llenan de alegría nuestros corazones y espíritus.
