Sometimes, let your emotions boil out

    Greetings everyone!

    Many times, the body, especially emotions, get loosed out to react to something that may look very unlikely and odd to the usual self. When that happens, one shouldn't feel it that much because we are humans, and once in a while, even when we are in total control of our thoughts, we still fall for temptations and find ourselves soaked in acts we are not known for.

    I've had a lot of experiences on this happening...

    I'm a very cool person; you'll hardly see me in a scene of trouble with shouts. I just like being on my own, I don't have many friends to get me into unnecessary scenes. In fact, the friends I had at home were strictly church people, so it's always the churchy thing.
    So bad, this is the lifestyle people frown at because we are seen as dull people.

    There was a day I and one of my friends went out for outreach to invite people to church; we were going house to house, shop to shop, sharing tracts to the people. Then, I sighted my uncle (my father's younger sibling).

    Let me tell you a bit about this man;
    After my dad's father died, my dad's mother married from the same family as tradition demands, and that was when they gave birth to this uncle of mine. Also, his father(my step grandfather) is the eldest man in the community which made him the king. Because he's the son of the king, he became rich and in charge of everything, and also, my grandma lives in the palace with them

    So when I met him, I walked to greet him and the next thing he did was start shouting about how I've not been coming to the palace to visit grandma. I tried to give many excuses with my busy lifestyle but this man refused to concur. He kept shouting, saying a lot of things which show that he had been nurturing resentment in his heart for a long time.

    I looked at myself, standing with a bible and tracts in my hand while swallowing all his talk. I didn't know when I broke out; I challenged him with a matching tone as his, told him to stop shouting at me and if he thinks because he's the king's representative that's making him feel he's on top of the world, that doesn't work for me, I give respect to whom respect is due.
    My friend that was with me started to drag me out of the scene. I obeyed him and left the scene. When I turned back, I saw him(my uncle) muted...the words really got to him.

    I'm not bragging; that occasion changed his approach towards me. We didn't see each other for a long while after the encounter because I left for school. When I went home for Christmas holiday, and we attended a family marriage ceremony, he sent someone to call me, and we greeted and he offered me a bottle of beer, but I don't fancy beer, which we later swapped for maltina.

    Sometimes it's good to let emotions get in the way. It'll correct a lot of things.
