Prologue
I had hit a slow-down-streak on my gladiator cards. After starting incredibly well with a GF Xulax in my third pack, it now seems that I find a legend every 100 packs. It's okay since I'm leveling my most-used Gladiators, like Kharafax, Katrelba and Krash (and Vorst, but I didn't want to ruin this beautiful alliteration). Not much luck on Epics, either, usually the ones I don't use - except for one time, when I drew 2 Quoras in 2 packs. Out of the Legendaries, I was still missing the Dragon and the Nature Gladiator, both very useful cards - especially the Dragon with magic double strike. Not anymore, since today, only one is missing!
The two amazing packs
In the last brawl, we finished 1st with 13 wins before the 2nd place - I won all my battles, except for one, which is my second best result since playing Gold league. With that and merits from reward chests, I was able to buy 4 gladiator packages.
I got Quora AND Jin Guise, the legendary nature summoner. Both are just amazing Nature cards, Quora being one of the most used.
What is Jini Guise?
Jini Guise is a very powerful supporter. On level 1, she buffs your team with +2 armor, just like Queen Mycelia - but with better stats. The queen has 1|1|0|4, Jini starts at 1|2|0|5 and has Bloodlust - but with only 1 magic damage, that's not something to count on.
She gets more interesting in the following levels, gaining Blind, Silence, and Resurrect in levels 2-4, strengthening her position as powerful supporter.
How to use her?
More like "when". The how is clear - as a supporter. Use cases are "Weak Magic" for example, and the combination with Obsidian could make her a little more powerful. Her damage is too low to count on Bloodlust - and honestly, with Katrelba and Quora in the same Splinter, the use cases of Jini go down to "Keep your Distance" and "Little League". What other use cases can you imagine for her?
The two good packs
These two packs aren't too bad, either. Krash and Katrelba are always great, and Orella is the Rare-Card that I really would like to level, but never find. The Witch of Warwick is also nice to use from time to time.
Conclusion
As soon as one reaches a certain level in the cards, it takes more time to get that feeling of success, especially in Gladiator Cards, since merits are not easy to gain, and Gladiators are incredibly powerful cards. But luckily, Splinterlands offers so many different dopamin-kicks to pass the time between the good Gladiator packs.
