    Hello Music lovers

It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #threetunetuesday (ttt) and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

Today, I will be sharing a collection of classic love ballads from the sixties and eighties. Whenever I talk about classics from the eighties or even the sixties, I wonder how people took these songs at the time. Were they receptive to the iconic tunes or they were too busy recovering from the cold war.

Nonetheless, let me dive right into the love ballads for today.

Stuck On You by Lionel Richie

    YouTube

The first song for today is Stuck on you. This piece was released in the year 1984 and slowly became a hit. It features a blend of R&B. I like how well the song portrays the vulnerability and honesty of a lover. A love song indeed!

The instrumentation of this song is quite simple yet very soothing. Listening to this piece in a serene environment can certainly bring a form of satisfaction.

Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx.

    YouTube
This is one of my personal favourites. The timeless ballad was released in 1989 and was commercially successful at the time.

The melody of the instrument, the symphonies, the sync, they all go together creating a really nice tune to listen to.

This song particularly expresses the enduring power of love and the artist’ commitment to his loved one. For some outlandish reason, the song has its way of evoking strong emotions.

Stand By Me by Ben E. king

    YouTube

I heard one part of the song from a movie sometime back and I had to look it up. Stand by me was released in 1961 and is indeed a timeless ballad.

It is a really soulful song that expresses support and loyalty. I like how simple the instruments are allowing listeners to properly consume the lyrics of the song.

By extension, the song has a tone of reassurance, solidarity and comfort. It can be really comforting to know that someone can stand by you through trials and tribulations.

The three songs shared today have a few things in common despite their difference in style and genre; emotional depth, endearing lyrics and of course they are all love ballads.

These songs help to clarify some listeners' true feelings. Sending such songs to a loved one is a beautiful way to show love and honesty by extension. Don't you think so?

I hope you enjoyed listening to these masterpieces. Which was your favourite, if any?

    Love
