Life would not be worth living if some factors in the society were not there. Imagine how you would have grown and been able to carry out life's necessities if there were no food. All thanks to nature, food is available. But still then, if there were no farming activities which enhanced the food production, what would have become of life. Looking deeper down the line, if there were no markets, no mall or grocery stores how would we have gotten the food to fuel and nourish our bodies for life's activities. And then finally, if there were no means of transportation to transport the food items from the farm to the market, and then to the consumers, what would the system look like?
The picture is my entry for the street photograph for #photofeed round 69. That picture was taken this afternoon at a street in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. In the picture, you will see motorcycles. That location is one of the sub parking lodges for cyclists and passengers. It is by the roadside. The cyclists waiting to pick up passengers usually stay there. On the other hand, passengers who are waiting for motorcycles to take them to their destinations also come to wait at the lodge.
The motorcycle means of transportation is the most effective and convenient form of transportation available to us in our community. Equally, in many cities and rural settlements in Nigeria, motorcycle transportation is the predominant.
One very important merit of using the motorcycle for transportation is that it is easily affordable and can easily access any destination.
