Linear shadows near the Spanish Square in Palma de Mallorca

    Hi,

A week ago I was in Palma de Mallorca, a wonderful city with many places to visit and enjoy, for example the old Lonja building.

During my stay I stayed in a small hotel in the central Spain Square. This square is surrounded by many shops and is also the communication centre of the city.

In this square I found a large fountain with a statue of an equestrian figure. Specifically, of King James the Conquered. King who recovered the island of Mallorca several centuries ago for the crown of Aragon, as Mallorca belonged to Muslim Spain for several centuries during the Middle Ages.

In this square I came across a striking sculpture which is actually a thermometer and barometer showing historical figures for temperatures, atmospheric pressures and other weather data for the city.

I was not very close to this square. The first day I was in the city I saw a metal structure that caught my attention because it would be a perfect place for a shadow hunt.

Without a doubt, it was a good moment looking at different positions to hunt the shadows of the bars of the structure.

I spent about 15 minutes taking pictures, some of them in line with the shadows.

    Others perpendicularly.

My entry to #SMASh contest organized by @melinda010100

As always,I had doubts about which shadow to choose for my competition entry. So, as in other occasions, I selected it at random.

    Best regards.
