Sun bread in my country, southern Egypt

    Hello guys, as we know, every region or country has bread that differs from other countries, and here in Egypt there are two types of cheese, the seaside and Cairo, and the cities use artificial bread from bakeries.

    But Upper Egypt, from which I am, and the areas of Luxor, Qena and Aswan, always use another bread for food, and it is called sun cheese

    It is called solar bread because it leaves the dough in the sun for some hours

    Egyptian bread ingredients

    Yeast stage

    One and a half kilo of white flour

    A liter of warm water

    A tablespoon of salt

    Dough stage

    Mix the flour with salt, put a spoonful of yeast in a cup, and leave it for a quarter of an hour

    Start kneading, add water until all the dough comes together and is not liquid or sticky in your hand

    Let it double in size

    Cut the bread into a circle and then place it in a paper or wooden mold

    After leaving it in the sun for two hours, it is now time to put it in the oven

    One of the wonderful things is that most of the people who make the Egyptian sun bread are the mothers, and the daughter helps the mother or family members, and the bread is made approximately twice a week
    Our most important source is wheat cultivation, because it is the source of flour and bread is made from it
