In May, I have attended many Birthday celebrations and I am glad that they have invited me to celebrate with them. Now, just recently, one of my nephews 'Kuya Obed' just celebrated his 12th Birthday a new milestone in his life as he finally got into his teenage years.
I just thank God for I have witnessed the happenings of that celebration. Now, here is my newest "A Day of my Life" Blog Post, I will be sharing that memorable Birthday Celebration.
I just thank everyone, especially the admins for the unending support I still receive right now, and even to the members and all curators, thank you so much for the support.
The Birthday Celebration was held at the house of the celebrant, with his parents who prepared everything. It was to be happening by evening and so around 5:00 in the afternoon, I prepared myself and did everything I needed to do here in my house before I left.
It was around 6:30 in the evening when we finally arrived together with some of the young people and my aunt and uncle, the godparents of the celebrant.
As time went by, we started our short program, a fellowship in which I was tasked to be the emcee who would sing a song of praises and worship God. It was unexpected as I was told at that time only but thank God for everything went very well.
After we had sung a song of praises and worship to God, I then asked a few visitors who were present here to share some words of declaration and prayer with my Nephew. I also shared some words of encouragement to him as finally he is in his teenage years.
I also asked his godparents especially his grandfather who is also present. He shared thanksgiving to God for giving such a grandson like him as if he was going to cry. Some who have shared are his cousins, his Aunt, and lastly his Mother.
As his Mother's time to share, we cannot deny the heart of the Mother. She was very thankful to God for giving her a son like him, as she said. Her firstborn and a gift from God. It was a very touching moment for the two of them, a Mother and a Son moment.
We have shared some touching messages and prayers indeed. And now, one of the main centers of this celebration is the sharing of God's Word, and this time, one of the pastors who is a friend of ours will share the Words of God.
This time, he shared with us the importance of Children to God. He shared with us that it is not an accident when a child comes into our lives as God entrusted them to us. Many people have longed for a child but some are hard for them, and so for us who have gifted us with a child or children, we must love them the way God loved them too.
Very nice message indeed from the Words of God through His servant. And now, after a few moments, it is time for us to declare prayers to my nephew this time it was led by the Pastor who has shared the Words of God, as well as to all of us, we should declare a prayer of blessings to Kuya Obed.
Now, we are here in the much-awaited part of any birthday celebration, our eating time. It was about 8:00 in the evening and all of us were very hungry at the moment.
They have prepared a lot of yummy and delicious foods, it was prepared by the parents. It was good to know also that the Pizza that has been served here is from the savings he had as he saved it for his Birthday.
All of us are very full after and we thank God for all the foods and for the successful birthday celebration. After a few moments, since it was too late in the evening we decided to go home as it took us more or less 45 minutes before we went home. And thank God that we arrived at our houses safe and sound.
