Hello wanderers! How's everyone? Have you joined any Christmas parties yet? It's that time of the year when companies, friends and families come together for outings and celebrations - Christmas is just around the corner! Today, I'm excited to share our Christmas party experience with my co-teachers from Mainit National High School. We combined the holiday spirit with team building and celebrated in the beautiful coastal town of Moalboal, Cebu. It was a perfect mix of fun, bonding, and relaxation by the sea. Read on to discover how we made this celebration unforgettable.
"At the beach, life is different. Time doesn't move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides, and follow the sun."
Just like everyone else, we wanted to celebrate our Christmas party at the beach to relax and truly enjoy the day. There's nothing like the unique sense of relaxation and joy that only the beach can offer. This annual activity is something we always look forward to - a time to bond with our colleagues without the usual work concerns. It was a perfect mix of fun, bonding, and relaxation by the sea.
The day started with a scenic drive to Moalboal, filled with excitement and chatter. Upon arrival, the serene beach greeted us with it's clear blue waters and crystal soft white sand. We set up a cozy area with festive decorations and began the day with a hearty breakfast by the shore. The sound of waves and the cool breeze instantly set the mood for a day of relaxation and enjoyment. From sharing stories to planning games, everyone's energy was contagious. It was heartwarming to see smiles all around as we left work worries behind and focused on creating beautiful memories together.
Adding to the excitement, our school head thoughtfully prepared a gift for everyone. As teachers, we couldn't wait to unwrap the surprises that awaited us. The joy and anticipation were palpable as each of us received presents, feeling truly appreciated. This thoughtful gesture added a special meaning to this celebration. Reminding us of the bonds we share not just as colleagues but as a family.
"In a game like this, it's not just about the water you're carrying, but the memories you're making."
Since everyone was all set for the day's activities, we started with a fun game prepared by one of our co-teachers. It was a familiar game, but it never failed to bring laughter! The mechanics were simple: two groups of six members each competed. Each team had two bottles, and the goal was to fill them with seawater using only their hands. It was hilarious watching everyone scramble to carry water, making the game both thrilling and memorable.
We had so much fun in this game! The excitement was beyond words; our laughter seemed to outdo the task of filing the bottles. It was a familiar game, but the energy and fun made it feel like a fresh experience. Each team scrambled to fill their bottles with seawater using only their hands, and it was hilarious to watch everyone's frantic attempts. The noise and laughter were so loud that people nearby who were swimming turned to see what was happening. Our fun and joy filled the air, making the game an unforgettable experience full of lasting memories.
We also played a game called the suspek-suspek challenge, which became really popular on Tiktok, and we decided to try it out too. The game was full of energy, and we played whatever came to mind. It was so much fun, and everyone was eager to participate, especially with the added excitement of prizes for each game! The enthusiasm was contagious. Another game we played was the lemon-orange-black-and white challenge, which had everyone laughing and getting competitive. We also did the bring me "something" game, where people had to quickly grab items on demand - it was a real test of speed and wit!
Of course, what made it even more exciting was the fact that each game had it's own set of rewards, which kept everyone motivated. You could tell that everyone was enjoying themselves, and the fun never stopped. The last game we played was also popular on Tiktok, where you had to imitate an action and then guess what action your opponent was doing. It was very fun and tricky at the same time because you had to think quickly and provide and answer that wasn't the same as your opponent's team.
To end our Christmas party, we exchanged gifts with our manita and manito. Everyone was filled with excitement to finally unwrap their presents. It's just worth remembering all the things that happened this day. It was a perfect way to end this day that full of laughter, bonding and memories.
And that's it for today's blog. Till next time, Ciao! 😘
