I am definitely grateful for this day and as it draws to a close, it's time to take a peek into how my stepping went and also share some of the trending stories I came across. So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the shopping centre for some groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before the evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃. Meanwhile in between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also a little bit of crypto/twitter. let's dive into that next
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going otherwise a quiet day.
Globally Gaza still trending, today airstrikes in central and southern Gaza killed 122 Palestinians in 24 hours 😿.
Also trending, an Israeli air attack has killed 3 sons and 3 grandchildren of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh🙀. They were out meeting relatives celebrating Eid, when the car they were traveling in was hit.
By the way, Eid Mubarak to everyone who is celebrating🎉🎊.
In Gaza, a sombre mood as Palestinians observed Eid praying among the ruins of mosques. Definitely not a happy Eid for most people😿.
In the other war, Russia has hit Kharkiv areas with glide bombs leaving destruction and up to three people killed😿.
Meanwhile, Ukraine is quickly running out of weapons as a delay in the US house of Congress is not helping as soon Ukraine will be overwhelmed by Russia🙀.
Also trending, the European parliament has approved a landmark overhaul of the European Union's asylum and migration rules.
The reforms address the questions of who should take responsibility for migrants and asylum seekers when they arrive and whether other EU countries should be obliged to help.

Across the pond in the US, multiple people have been shot outside Eid event in Philadelphia🙀. The story is still brewing but the shots were fired following an argument outside a mosque. Let's wait for the full story.
Also trending, US president Biden welcomed Japanese leader, Kishida to the white house in Washington. Definitely discussing issues of mutual benefits.
Let's go to Asia, south Korea trending as exit polls from the just concluded parliamentary polls show a landslide win for the opposition🙀. The president's approval has taken a hit due to an ongoing doctor's strike and rising costs of living.
Finally, a French woman has broken the men's and women's world record for rope climbing at the Eiffel tower🎊. She made it from the ground up to 110 metres or 361 feet to the second storey of the tower in 18 minutes😹. Congratulations to her🎉. Well done.
