    Introduction

Hello, @glecerioberto here, and welcome to today's #TravelDigest. It seems the New Year has motivated many travelers to blog about their experiences. There are quite a number of posts today. But after traveling around the world through everyone's posts, I had to stop at the following places: the Mahandand Lake in Pakistan, the Miracle Garden in UAE, and the border mountains between Italy and Slovenia. Congratulations to our top three! In this digest, I also make honorable mentions to destinations in the USA, Turkey, Portugal, and so much more. Check them all out below!

All featured posts are visible on the Editors Choice Map and upvoted by @worldmappin, our curation trail, and potentially @blocktrades. For more travel digests check out #traveldigest.

🥇 Beauty of Mohandand Lake by @moaz-sabir

My life was a lie when I said that there is nothing on mountain 🏔️. They are just a big hills nothing more than stones and rocks. But my opinion become false when I visited the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my life, Mahondand Lake. The natural beauty and amazing view. Swat is well known as Switzerland of Pakistan. And it is not false. This is truth. When I see this big mountains which were covered with full snow and long trees my mind was stuck.

🥉 Two day hike to Mt Guarda/Skuta, sleeping in a mountain shelter, Italy/Slovenia by @thefootprint

For today we have a special post about amazing two-day trip we took in Autumn 2024. The mountain that we choose for our destination was Skuta (in Slovene)/ Mt Guarda (in Italian). It is the hill at the beginning of Canin mountain massif (2587 metres). Why we are giving two names? Because the mountain range is the one dividing this two countries. We always love to visit places like that - one land, yet two completly different worlds, languages, etc.
