My Actifit Report Card: March 26 2024

    Good evening everyone , today has been a blissful day. I woke up by 7:30 am to get ready for the day. I had to hit the gym today ,I actually have been away for about 2months now and I've really lost a lot of muscle mass and my strength level has reduced. I resumed my weekly workout programme yesterday being Monday. I usually workout 5days a week and take a 2days rest. At least that used to be my workout plan but now am thinking of changing it, I feel like I need to take my fitness to another level this coming month. Once again I really appreciate @caleb-marvel for mentoring me on using the Actifit app and also using its features, he really did his best at tutoring me,so once again am saying thank you to him. My workout normally goes like this.
    Mon- Upper body
    Tues- Legs ( Quads and Hamstrings)
    Weds- Upperbody
    Thurs- Back
    Fridays- Legs

    For a year now I've been actively working out, I did have some setbacks which cost me but I bounced back up. For today I had to take it slowly since am just resuming after a long time. So today was leg day and this was how it went.

                       LEG DAY
    

    I started up with some warm up exercise ,stretching my hamstrings ,did some jumping jacks just to loosen up and get my heart running fine.
    I have 3major best leg exercise for leg day I usually vary it during the week.

    1.Barbell squats
    6 sets 26kg 15-20reps
    I increased the load as I reached the 3rd set just by adding around 2kg .

    1. Leg press
      I personally love this exercise it just helps me load up well especially when I couldn't do so when doing squats
      So 5sets/15-20reps
      50kg -78kg
      By the time I hit the last set I wasn't sure I'll leave the gym. The exercise makes you sore afterwards.

    Lastly is my most worrisome exercise

    1. Leg extensions
      This should actually be banned from leg day. After leg presses I couldn't even lift the leg extension machine with my legs
      I only did 4sets/10reps/ 10kg per set .
      By this time I was already exhausted, and one major factor was the fact that I just resumed after a long time ,so I expect to be really sore. I just drank a bottle of cold water and called it a day.
      I got home prepared a protein shake then left for my lectures.
      That's basically how my fitness day was and I'll give more updates by tommorow again.
