Emergency Coffee: Making Traditional Filipino Rice Coffee (Kapeng Bigas / Tinutong na Bagas)

    Screenshot 2024-05-23 at 08.59.19.png

✨"I went to make coffee, but we ran out, so I made an alternative rice coffee, which we traditionally make in the Philippines. We call it "kapeng bigas," meaning rice coffee, and in our local village, it is called "tinutong na bagas," which means burnt rice. It is an old tradition in the Philippines and has been enjoyed by many generations, especially in the rural areas." @theworldaroundme

Coffee and Pastries from Trinacria at Il Ristoro

✨"The café has been named after ancient Sicily: Trinacria
This emblem gives me the creeps. I think it would make a good tarot card 😂 I like to imagine it would mean something like “It's okay to ally and evolve, but don't expect to be seen as weird, weird like you have three legs” 🤣 Forgive my foolish medieval humour for foreign matters, please." @marlyncabrera

Unweaving a thread made of scents. What is there today of what was yesterday? A real coffee story for The Coffee Shop Prompt

✨"The colourful cookies as if they came out of a fairy's oven. The aroma fills your coffee with the magic of the elves even if it is watery. The very white, the very red. The pristine light." @adncabrera

A super-cool coffee shop in a nice Chicago neighborhood

✨"The coffee was good, nothing extraordinary to be honest. I found the Maple Latte a bit sweet. But the best thing about the coffee shop was the portraits of dogs on the walls.
These are portraits of dogs dressed in period costumes and inspired by the dogs at a shelter that the owners of the coffee shop support with the proceeds from the coffee shop's merchandising." @coquicoin

    Coffee afternoon and violin concert.

✨"I ordered a cappuccino and he ordered a negrito loaded with a quesillo. Everything was excellent. The environment has some natural light and is fresh and very clean. The service is excellent and since it has a supermarket, you can buy any product you need." @sandracabrera

The Coffee flavor behind an achievement

✨"It was sparkling, although here I had already stirred a little because of the sugar I had added.
Another thing is that I liked the place because it is very quiet and the service is really very good." @rosmiapure

My best gift as a coffee lover ☕

✨"On Mother's Day I received two very original gifts, beautiful and colorful coffee mugs to be honored by two coworkers, who know very well that I can't resist one and these details really made my day." @cirangela

Enjoying a delicious coffee at 'El Cillero'!!! ☕✨

✨"'El Cillero' is a very nice place located on Andres Bello Avenue, specifically on the first floor of the CIPAB building, this place offers a wide range of national and imported products, breakfast, snacks, drinks and of course coffee! ☕
Its decoration is nice, the walls are rustic and both the shelves and the tables and chairs are made of wood, sincerely the place is very cozy." @marcelys1

    Crazy for Migas coffee.

✨"It wasn't until I got to college that I discovered my true love: the coffee with milk, chocolate and condensed milk that they prepared at MIGAS CAFÉ. Ufff divine!" @daimar07

Sharing a Coffee at the Club Italo Venezolano with some Hivers

✨"Not only art and taste, I consider this cafe one of the best in the Italo Venezuelan Club in the state of Carabobo, so if you come here don't forget to take some time to relax while having a coffee." @crisch23
