Happy weekend, hivers! Sharing with you another Japanese restaurant that we recently tried- Botejyu Japanese Restaurant. Despite claiming that they have been around since 1946, its only the past few years that i've seen this restaurant in malls. This humble Japanese restaurant was opened right after the war in Osaka, Japan.
The prices of their meals are similar to that of other Japanese restaurant but what makes them different is their authentic taste of Japanese foods. We ordered their best-seller ramen, beef rice bowl, and takoyaki in different flavors.
My favorite is their takoyaki. I love that their servings are huge and the sauces are savory. Takoyaki are usually sold in stalls inside the malls and are considered as snacks. But I can tell that this takoyaki is made with premium ingredients.
The ramen was rich and creamy, topped with premium meat. Normally, i dont finish the ramen soup since most of the ramen are greasy, however, their ramen is creamy but not greasy. So i was able to finish the soup up to the last drop.
While researching about the heritage of this restaurant, i found out that this is a franchise in the Philippines, which explains why i only recognize this restaurant just recently despite claiming to be as old as 1946, owned by Viva Communications, Inc. I'm pretty sure most Filipinos know Viva Entertainment as they're one of the biggest movie producer in the Philippines. I just couldn't connect the idea as these are two very different industries- food and entertainment.
Overall, the services was great and the serving time was swift too. Only that their meals are quite pricey and not budget friendly. Nevertheless, the restaurant is recommendable for special occasions and celebrations.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
Love, Jane
