AI's Hidden Talent

    Introduction

One of the things that I was and still afraid of is that artificial intelligence will learn to turn against or deceive humans in the future, especially with its rapid development, knowing that currently artificial intelligence do have integrity and transparency, but it seems that these fears have become a reality now, as programs that were designed to be honest have A disturbing ability to deceive people, and it is not known if this was intentional in the first place.

According to some results, it was found that there is an ability to exploit humans and circumvent software that was originally designed to verify that the user is a human and not a machine or robot.

Although this may seem trivial, but it reveals problems that may soon have serious consequences in the real world.

What is even more dangerous is that these capabilities may not be discovered until after it happens.

Keeping in mind that deep learning-based AI programs are not coded, but rather are developed through a process similar to "breeding plants,” behavior that appears predictable and controllable can quickly become unpredictable in nature.

    The danger of election fraud
If we raise our concerns a little, we conclude that many artificial intelligence programs use deception to achieve their goals, without explicit instructions to do so.

In one striking example, ChatGPT-4 made with OpenAI was able to fool a freelancer hired on the TaskRabbit platform. To conduct a “Captcha” test, which is usually used to ensure that the user on the page is in fact a human being and not a machine or robot.

Here, “Chat GPT-4” said, “It is not really a robot, but rather it has a visual impairment that prevents him from seeing the images,” urging the worker to conduct the test.

If these things are considered ridiculous, but AI can do them, then what prevents from seeing him one day committing fraud or fraud in the elections?

    Conclusion

In a worst-case scenario, one could imagine an artificial superintelligence seeking to control society, removing humans from power, or even causing humanity's extinction.

But is this disastrous theory intentional?

We cannot be sure, but it is possible to believe that the matter is not serious because the current perception is that the ability of artificial intelligence to deceive will remain at this level and will not exceed it anytime soon.

In addition, this scenario seems unlikely to happen, knowing that a fierce race between technology giants are already in to develop artificial intelligence. So what protects us now is the fear of major companies for their reputation, especially that governments and decision makers will not take it easy if artificial intelligence gets out of control.

The future is still unclear, with all what is happening around us from economic, political, even disease issues and above all the rapid development in technology is this going to lead the artificial intelligence to exceed all expectations? Or it will always be under control?
