JUST A TYPICAL FRIDAY

Hello, dearest Hivers! How's your weekend? I hope you're getting the rest and relaxation you deserve. For now, let me just share what happened on my Friday, the day before the weekend. On Friday, I was with my cousin, and it was perfectly timed since she was also off from work. We just hung out at the house and decided to attend a mass. The days have been passing by quickly, and we wanted to end the day feeling blessed. After all, it’s been a productive week. The church is just walking distance from the house, so we planned to walk as we didn’t have any errands and weren’t in a hurry anyway. With all that, I just set an alarm for us to prepare. Here, I took a picture outside, and as you can see, there were heavy clouds about to rain.
I’m with my cousin. She’s my childhood buddy, and we were stuck together like magnets when we were young. We were both playmates and enemies. Now, we’re adults, and I’m happy we still bond the same way we did as kids.
After a few minutes of walking, we arrived at the church. I noticed that the church has a new coat of paint, and it looks better than before. I mean, the colors are the same, but it’s just been repainted. The mass was still at 5:30 p.m., but we arrived at the church at almost 5. We still had some time to meditate and pray. Going to church has always been more special when you go together with family, friends, or even colleagues. This time, I was just so happy to attend mass with my childhood bestfriend, my cousin.

The mass had already ended, and we felt so happy and blessed. We didn’t have anywhere else to go, so we just headed straight home. But just like when we went to church, we walked together. After all, there was heavy traffic, as always. Consolacion, where traffic never ends. So rather than getting stuck in traffic while riding, we just chose to walk and continue our never-ending chitchats. We were just buying time, though, as well. We didn’t have anything else planned.

Along the way home, we passed by these beautiful lanterns near the road. Ever since September stepped in, we could really feel the spirit of Christmas here in the Philippines. From the decorations of lanterns at home and in malls to hearing Christmas songs online and in our neighborhood, some people even do caroling already. Thus, as Christmas approaches, I hope for a merry, merry Christmas as it should be. That's all for today. See you around, everyone!
