This is a story of what happened on Friday 6th of April, it wasn't a funny experience at all, I don't know why some people are so wicked and greedy even in their business places. This a journal of my day and I decided to share it with my fellow lions so that they can express their reactions towards what happened.
Very early on Friday morning, around the hours of 5:00 a.m. we started preparing because a good of mine visited me the previous day, so I could assist him the next to go and load the musical instruments that they rented in a bus and he also pleaded with me that I will help them to set the musical instruments. Around 6:13 a.m. we left the house so that we could go and take the Musical instruments to the burial venue.
When we got to the renter's house, we discovered that he had rented almost all the instruments, and the instruments that they paid for, were not complete. It was very annoying, I asked him, why are the instruments not complete.
He didn't see an excuse, he only said that they paid the money late. I now said, when you know that the instruments will not be complete, why don't you tell them on time, so that they can look for another place to rent.
We don't have much time anymore, because where we are going to, is a far distance that would take us 3 hours on the road, and is a village that is inside the jungle. We had no option but to load the few instruments and as we were loading the instruments in the bus, I asked him.
Is this general/plant about to power these instruments? The rentals assured me that the generator is good.
A few minutes later, we entered the road and set for the journey. It goes to an extent On the road to the village, that we have to cross a river. What they use to cross the river, is like a small ship that can contain 4 cars and about 50 people standing on it. It has two ropes on both sides that they use in rolling it to the other end. So we entered it together with other people that were going for the burial ceremony, so they rolled us over to the other end of the river.
You can see the river, people and the trees by the river bank. I also saw some fish but in the water😀😀.
Immediately we crossed the river, we quickly entered our bus and drove off. Lots of dust were on the road, and our bodies were dusty.
When going to the village, I started arranging the musical instruments and went to put on the power generator so that I could check the sound.
Lo and behold, the generator could not carry the instruments 😭😔. What a disappointment 😥, so I went and increased the voltage of the generator but I discovered that the generator was weak 😞. People as almost seated and the ceremony was about to start, what were we going to do it was a topical village where we could not get a bigger generator that could power the sound.
Me and my friend quickly went and pleaded with the DJ guy that was close to us, if we could use his instrument and a few of ours to play the Life band, so he agreed and that was what saved the scenario.
The photograph below, is the DJ sound system the we later used together our drum set, keyboard, bass guitar and wired microphone.
I remember that I asked the rental if his generator was good and could power the instruments, and he said Yes but look at what lie and greediness can do. The worst part was, they had already sent him the money and we were already late for the ceremony, if not we could have gotten another instrument.
I just thank God that the Dj man understands and should us kindness, if not we wouldn't have been able to play some live musics in the ceremony.
