Luxor adventure pt. I [a journey through Egypt]

After spending three days in Cairo, we headed to Luxor, famously known for its oldest and most Ancient Egyptian sites. Arrived just before noon, after all night long bus ride through the desert. 🏜️

~ For our journey through the desert we chose GoBus

It was cool for me to see how bus just turns to the left across the sand and crosses three lanes road in the opposite direction to access gas station. They are not crazy to make them on both sides, in the middle of nowhere, logically. 😅 And the best part of a roadtrip -> driver was holding steering wheel with his knees because he has to flap his hands when explaining something to the person next to him as if they were Italians. 😆 Our accommodation was on the West Bank, right next to the Nile, it's quieter there, they consider that side as a village.

On our first day there, we took a nap, then went on a boat ride, waited for the sunset in the middle of the Nile, visited small but cute Monkey Island and walked a bit through the city on the East Bank at night.

Next day, before noon, we visited the Valley of the Kings, the Hapstepshut Temple, and on our way back to hotel, we stopped by to watch the show of "manual processing of alabaster".
