Hola, my dear Hivers! I was cleaning my cabinet earlier and realized how much mugs and plates i've accumulated all through out the years.
Back when I was still studying, my stress reliever was buying some cheap mugs, about 1 usd, in the downtown malls. I'm into cute tea cups and small mugs but not so much on the huge ones. I love drinking coffee and tea so these cups are very useful too me. I alternately use them daily.
This animal printed mug was my favorite in college that i used to bring in school. The best part is it's microwavable.
This transparent tea mug used to have a cover on top but unfortunately, it got lost somewhere in our kitchen.
It was only during pandemic when i started collecting plates and saucers. I mostly buy them online from a Japanese surplus. They were my happy pill back then (and until now). And because they are my collection, I barely used them at home, afraid that they might be broken.
I read somewhere that peonies symbolizes love in Chinese so when i saw these plates online, I immediately bought 3 pieces. Plus having a pair of peonies in the plate is a double luck in love, in my own belief. Unfortunately, one peony plate got broken, leaving me with only 2 pcs.
Another favorite of mine is this Buddha saucer which symbolizes good luck. I truly believe in these things that's why I bought it. But also because the plates are beautiful.
Currently, these mugs are already hidden in my drawer and are being preserve. I also stopped buying new items as my drawer is already full. But my love for mugs and plate wares will forever remain. Each of these collection holds great memories that i hope to preserve with me forever.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
