With a new content update for World of Warcraft comes a lot of new collectibles. Transmogs, pets, toys and mounts are of course all included. I am a collector in general but mounts are the main items I like collecting. There's a decent few available in this update and after a few hours of farming I was able to collect my first specimen. The Personalized Goblin S.C.R.A.P.per.
How to get the Personalized Goblin S.C.R.A.P.per
To get this mount you have to shovel trash. The Undermine is littered with trash piles and every few minutes an event will spawn where you can dig through them for valuables. The S.C.R.A.P. event. This event has you digging trash and completing several other objectives as the timer runs down. While you did you have a chance of getting a special currency that you can use at a special vendor. This vendor sells a case that has a chance of dropping this mount and a pet.
I mainly got this mount as a passive reward while farming for another mount. This event also has a low chance of dropping the Salvaged Goblin Gazillionaire's Flying Machine. I've been doing daily attempts at getting that mount and in the process I collected enough currency to get the Personalized Goblin S.C.R.A.P.per as well. Win win.
I was a little disappointed to find that the Personalized Goblin S.C.R.A.P.per was a ground mount. That means it'snot really usable in most of the zones around the world. It can however be used in most dungeons and raids where flying isn't available. It's not that it can't be used, but why would I use a mount that takes me 10 minutes to travel somewhere when I can fly there in 1 minute.
I wish World of Warcraft did like Final Fantasy XIV and made all mounts both able to fly and run on the ground. That way it won't feel like a waste when you collect a ground mount. I know that a lot of players simply skip on collecting ground mounts since there's barely a point in using them anyways. It makes no sense for World of Warcraft to be encouraging that.
I'm gonna have to go and dig up some trash now and pray I get the Salvaged Goblin Gazillionaire's Flying Machine. At least that one can fly.
