The year 2024 was quite busy in terms of travel. Italy has long been my favorite travel destination. In November we decided to spend a week in Rome and I decided to rent a car and drive to Tuscany. While looking for tickets to Rome, one airline offered cheap tickets not only to Rome but also to Venice. The plan was born instantly: Venice to Rome via Tuscany: Bingo! This route may not be very popular right now. But I still wanted to leave some photos and a bit of information about the trip here because over time, everything fades from memory.

In Pisa we spent a few hours at the Leaning Tower. Then I wanted to briefly join the madness of taking selfies with the tower and decided to enjoy a perfect cup of coffee afterward. Like all the tourists in Pisa everyone was returning to their childhood and trying to take photos in various poses with the tower, according to their creativity and sense of pride. I drew inspiration from my first visit. But this time I preferred to stick with the simplest pose, so I didn’t stand out too much from the crowd.

Pisa is an ancient and historic city located in the Tuscany region of Italy. Its most famous structure is the world-renowned Leaning Tower. This tower started being built in 1173. But due to an uneven foundation, it began to lean over time. The tower was completed in 1372, but its tilt made it an intriguing sight. Pisa is known not only for this tower but also for being the home of the prestigious Pisa University, which produced the famous scientist Galileo Galilei. Galileo studied here and became a significant figure in the scientific world. Throughout history the city has been an important port and was known for its naval power during the Middle Ages. In addition to the Leaning Tower, the Pisa Cathedral and Baptistery are also must-see landmarks for those exploring the city.

The next step in my journey took me to a wonderful café that I had discovered before the trip. This café is located on the second floor of the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, very close to the tower. While there were mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, the view was absolutely amazing. The coffee was perfect. I really enjoyed being on this balcony because I had no rush and could rest while savoring the moment.

Usually I don't have these calm moments during my travels. But over time, I’ve started to enjoy a more peaceful way of traveling. I used to rush through everything, trying to see as much as possible, but now I prefer to travel at a slower pace and simply enjoy the present.
