I was sitting comfortable at home in the beautiful suburbs of Kerala when the call for a new challenge came by. I was selected for an internship at Delhi. A seismic shift from a peaceful Kerala home to the speed and hustle of Delhi.
My vacation at Kerala was 2 weeks old when the call came. I had spent 4 days at Varkala, a week at Cochin and a short visit to my hometown Trivandrum. Varkala a cliff side beach which is gaining attraction recently in social media is a place where my heart really calls for each time I am home. The beach where I find myself.
Where I find Mermaids !!
A typical day at Varkala starts with a serene sunrise by the cliff top overlooking onto the beach. It's a great time to reflect on your vision. I took some time to reflect on my goals for this year as January is always about a renewal at heart.
After the reflection it's time to head to the beach for a warm beach swim, followed by some reading and sun bath. It really sets the pace of the day. The first day at Varkala was really mesmerising having travelled all the way down from the chaos of Bihar, a really refreshing experience.
My friend Robert, the founder of Creativity Party London had joined me from Bihar for this amazing trip. The start of the trip was on 02nd Jan 2025, just after our Blooms Day New Year Party at the Kommuniti Centre up north of India in Rajgir, Bihar, India.
The journey started on the cold winter morning at 5:00 am in Abbey Road Style, with just a waiting list ticket and 1 hour journey to the railway station for a 5:45 am train. The decision already a failure. But we believed in the journey. Destination was a decision and we were determined to make it a success. We didn’t reach in time, but we tried and never lost trust in the Indian railway. Haha !!
Yes, it got late. But the journey had a lot more than just the destination.
Life is sometimes lost in the objective evaluation of destinations. We judge our choices like a computer program by objectively evaluating the destinations. But its more than just 1(success) or 0(failure). It was the start of something great !!!
