My second battle in 12 years

    Hello dear Warhammer freaks,

I'm coming out of hiding. I didn't post much last year, but that's a different topic that I want to talk about on my own blog here on @exptrader.

But as you know, I posted my status regarding my Warhammer hobby here. That my brother gave me an Astra Militarium army or that I'm expanding my small Dark Angel army.

It turns out that there is also a Warhammer 40,000 fan and collector in my company (which I should have noticed earlier, as he has a huge Ultramarine logo stuck on his blue car) and we got along great and he invited me over to his house for a little skirmish.

He has only painted so far and has not fought any battles yet, but his armies (yes, you read that right, armies) are considerable and he has a larger Pile of Shame collection than my house is tall. He really collects a lot.
What he is most proud of is his battle table, which he built himself.

You can take off the tabletop and use it as a Warhammer battle board. This size is designed for a 3k-point army.

Personally, I thought his gaming tower was the coolest, because he made it himself with his 3D printer. You can see that it is a tower of the Adeptus Soroitas.
At the beginning, I thought he was taking out his World Eater army to lose to me (hrhrhr), but unexpectedly he pulled out a Dark Angel army and it turned out.

I am “the Fallen” because I don't have a hero like Lion El Johnson or Belial, who could be seen at the end on the battlefield. But heresy was not tolerated and so my army was prepared for their “Fallen”

Thanks to Chatgpt and the odd rulebook or two that we found for the 10th edition, we then carried out our battle. Our score was 1050 points.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you who scored points where and in which round, we just looked at who had the most soldiers left after the final round.
But I would like to tell a few funny anecdotes that stuck:

His Belial never actually hit anything, he just fired wildly into the air and was on his way to battle

My little Dreadnought fought against his redemptor Dreadnought, and it went on like that for 3 rounds.
His melter squad was very effective against my aggressor squad and gave me a hard time

Occasionally we changed the rules, for example, we had a situation where a soldier was able to see out of cover and on his side, so we realized through logical thinking that only the two of them could shoot at each other, so they did.
After a wild back and forth, a clear winner emerged.

    Me

It was a fun round and we will repeat it in the future. After the fight, I took a closer look at the rules and had some lightbulb moments that we will change in the next fight.

If you'll excuse me, I have to paint “traces of use” on my army. I am very proud of my boys

Until the next report, your Exptrader
