Sunshine and smiles, Hivers! I'm back again for another blog post for this week. In this blog, I'm going to share with you all how I and my friend spend time thrifting and window shopping after school. Let's get started!
Last week, before the department days, I and my friends decided to go to the city to buy some clothes and also to do thrifting. I began my day by going to school at 7am, and as you can see, the sea is very calm and is so nice to look at because it makes my nerves calm.
We had a foreign language class today; that's why my prof was teaching us the years and months in Korean. All I can say is that it's very easy to learn Korean if your professor is good at it. She also teaches us how to construct a sentence if someone asks you, "What is the date today?" Or "What time is it?"
On our last course subject to be attended, we had a quiz from the last reporter, and then my professor decided to end the class early. I told my friends to model my newly made crochet turbo fan cover sleeve so I can post it on my page. They even said yes, and I took a picture of them. After that, my friends decided to go to the city to buy some necessary things and clothes for the department days.
We ride a tricycle to go to the city. It's just a minute ride; that's why we arrived earlier than we expected. My friends also talk about what they will wear on department days since the color that we should wear is yellow, but some of us don't want that color.
When we arrived at the city, the first thrifting store that we went to was this store that you see in the picture. This thrift store is very wide, and also a lot of stuff is sold here. My friends keep finding clothes and some other stuff here. The prices are also affordable, which made us buy plenty of it. They have a lot of new arrivals; that's why some people keep going there to thrift, and they might find some gem or branded stuff that they will buy and sell again. I find a cute bag here in this store, and I ask how much this bag is, and the seller tells me that it is 250 pesos, but I can buy it for just 230 pesos. At first, I was hesitant to buy it since I think it's expensive, but my friends keep telling me that I should buy it because it was in good condition, plus I deserve to have a new collection of bags. At the end, I bought it.
After that first store, we decided to go to the next thrift store. This store that we went to doesn't have plenty of people. I search for some clothes there for department days, but I just find some other clothes that I cannot wear on department days haha. I find a polo and also a shirt. My friends also find some blouses and shirts. We bought it for just 10 pesos each for clothes; that's why we bought plenty of it because it was very affordable. This thrift store does not have plenty of clothes to choose from because the area is small, but the prices of each piece of clothing are quite affordable, and the clothes are in good condition. My friends decided to take a break from thrifting because we're exhausted from finding some nice clothes, and also one of us keeps sneezing because of the allergy of dust.
My friends decided not to thrift again because it's very tiring to thrift again; that's why we decided to go to Watson, the favorite place of every woman. When we got there, my friends eyes were sparkling, and they went to the makeup area, where they tested some products and kept chattering about those products. I also find some lotion that will make my skin not dry because the lotion that I used today makes my skin itch and dry. I also find a shampoo from Watson that is very affordable, and I was shook because this shampoo and conditioner is on sale, which is buy 1, take 1. I don't think this shampoo and conditioner is effective because my mother told me that if a product is on sale or in a buy 1, take 1, it's either that the product is not good or the expiration is coming. My friends also told me that product is always on sale; that's why I decided to not buy that product.
While they are busy finding some stuff on the Watson, I and Rena decided to go to the supermarket to do grocery shopping. She buys some necessities from their house while I just bought some foods that I can eat whenever I crave something. I also buy some nachos and veggies because I'm going to make nachos with veggies at the house. When we're at the counter, my other friends tell us that they will go home first since they have other errands to do while I and Rena are busy at the counter.
Before we went home, we decided to buy a shawarma at the mall since I felt hungry while thrifting and window shopping at the mall. And after we bought it, we decided to go home because it was late in the afternoon and we still had schoolwork to do.
When I got home, I decided to make a haul of what I spent on this day, and as you can see, these are the clothes and bag that I thrifted for that day. All of that cost only 250 pesos. Yes! It's very affordable and cheap.
And that's the end of my blog, hivers. This kind of bonding with friends is very fun but at the same time wallet draining because if I'm with them, my wallet will be empty haha. I was also thankful that they have this kind of habit wherein they thrift and they find some other affordable things because way back, my other friends were rich rich, and I couldn't afford what they spent in a day and their society.
Thank you for reading my blog, Hivers, and see you in my next blog post! Ciao!
