In a sea of silences and absences I find myself, where the letters are intertwined, lost in the wind. How can I explain the lack of sounds that shout how much in my chest I long for you and feel you?
My wandering pen searches for your shadow in despair, through an uncertain sea of words without a path, the ink vanishes, it runs out on the paper, there is no more consolation or calm in this cruel swaying.
I try to erase your name from my invading mind, rescue my being from this overwhelming gloom, in vain I seek how to alleviate this torment, but your memories are still intact, here inside.
The twist of fate leads me adrift, I lose the fire of your lips, the ignited spark, tangled between vowels that fail to express the immensity of the emptiness of not being able to love you.
In this sea of letters that bite each other in their longing, I keep looking for a way to tell you about my flight, how to narrate the loss of what is no longer mine, how to find in poetry the echo of our river.
