    Hello travelers,
During my children’s winter vacation this year, we visited my brother's house in Bhilai, the city (chhattisgarh) where I spent my childhood. It was a special trip for me, as I was returning to Bhilai after three years. The moment I arrived in Durg station, I felt a wave of nostalgia and an indescribable feeling. Memories of my parents and my childhood kept flooding back, making the visit even more emotional.

My children had a wonderful time playing with my brother's kids, and the house was filled with their laughter and joy. Bhilai is a city well-known for its steel plant, where my father worked for many years. The city also boasts several beautiful places to visit, such as Maitri Garden, Treasure Mall, Tagada Dam, and Civic Center.
On the weekend, we decided to visit the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park in Bhilai, a place that beautifully blends history, nature, and family fun.

The park features a towering 25-feet-high statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, made of gunmetal. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by this magnificent statue, which stands as a symbol of courage and patriotism.

The park has been meticulously developed, and we were truly impressed by its clean surroundings and the variety of attractions it offers.

One of the unique features of the park is its light and sound show, which takes place in the evening. This show narrates the story of India's struggle for freedom. but unfortunately, we left before it started.

The park has been beautifully developed, with swings for kids and exercise equipment for adults. My children thoroughly enjoyed playing on the swings, while I couldn’t resist trying out some of the exercise equipment myself!

After exploring the park, we headed to Rath Park, a small yet charming spot near Civic Center. It is a popular place for people to click pictures, and we didn’t miss the chance to take a few family photos there. My children were delighted when I bought them balloons, and they spent their time happily playing with them.

As the day came to an end, our booked car arrived, and we headed back home with happy hearts and wonderful memories. The trip was not just a fun outing for my children but also a journey down memory lane for me. Bhilai holds a special place in my heart, and this visit made me cherish it even more.
