This past Saturday, in my country the May 25 holiday was celebrated, in commemoration of our Argentine national day and we went to celebrate with one of my best friends.

Este sábado que pasó, en mi país se festejó el feriado del 25 de Mayo, en conmemoración a nuestro día de la patria Argentina y fuimos a celebrar junto a una de mis mejores amigas.
As forward to the beginning of this post, this Saturday, May 25, here in Argentina we celebrate the day of the homeland, due to the revolution of May 1810 that presided over our first national government.
We are currently going through an extremely cold autumn and it is cloudy almost every day, but just this Saturday, very early, a beautiful warm sun came out that practically forced us to leave the house to enjoy the beautiful day. Although the cold did not stop, feeling the warm rays of the sun on our faces encouraged us to approach the center of our neighborhood, where it was certain that an event would be held in commemoration of this important day.
Cómo adelante al inicio de este post, este sábado 25 de Mayo, aquí en Argentina celebramos el día de la patria, debido a la revolución de mayo de 1810 que presidió en nuestro primer gobierno patrio.Actualmente estamos transitando un otoño extremadamente frío y casi todos los días está nublado, pero justo este sábado, desde bien temprano, salió un hermoso sol cálido que prácticamente nos obligó a salir de casa a disfrutar del bello día. Aunque el frío no cesó, sentir los cálidos rayos de sol en nuestra cara nos animó a acercarnos al centro de nuestro barrio, dónde era seguro que se estaría celebrando un acto en conmemoración a este día tan importante.
We left home around 10 in the morning, the bus took a long time since it was a holiday, and public transportation runs infrequently, but the good thing is that, once we got on, it only took us 15 minutes to get there. center.
When we arrived, there were already many people in the main square and on the busiest avenue, which was blocked by the parade of all our armed forces.
The parade had already started and the entire place was full of flags, speakers and screens that showed each group of uniformed people who paraded down the catwalk with great grandeur and pride.
Salimos de casa a eso de las 10 de la mañana, el colectivo tardó bastante ya que era un día feriado, y el transporte público pasa con poca frecuencia, pero lo bueno es que, una vez que subimos, tardamos solo 15 minutos en llegar hasta el centro.Al llegar, ya había muchísima gente en la plaza principal y sobre la avenida más concurrida, la cual estaba cortada por el desfile de todas nuestras fuerzas armadas.
El desfile ya había comenzado y todo el lugar estaba repleto de banderas, parlantes y pantallas que mostraban cada grupo de personas uniformadas que con gran imponencia y orgullo desfilaban por la pasarela.

No pretendo ni me gusta hablar sobre política, pero es estos tiempos que estamos viviendo como país, dónde nuestra cultura, educación, recursos y leyes que protegen nuestras tierras, están siendo cada vez más vulnerabilizadas y desvalorizadas, resulta aún más emocionante oir a nuestro pueblo reunido y cantando a gritos con emoción y orgullo nuestro himno nacional y abrazarse.
I arrived just to take photos of the military helicopter that flew right over us at an incredibly close distance, it seemed as if by just gaining momentum and jumping very high, I could touch it.
That helicopter was the opening for the vehicles of our different armed forces to begin parading. I would love to be able to describe them and tell you about each of the forces and what those vehicles were for, but on that matter I could be ignorant 😅. In fact, one of the last trucks had a kind of ball on its back, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't even imagine what that would be for, but anyway, seeing it pass in front of my eyes was very interesting.
Llegué justo a tomarle fotos al helicóptero militar que pasó volando justo sobre nosotros a una distancia increíblemente cercana, parecía como si con solo tomar impulso y saltar muy alto, podría tocarlo.Ese helicóptero fue la apertura para que comenzarán a desfilar los vehículos de nuestras diferentes fuerzas armadas. Me encantaría poder describirlos y contarles acerca de cada una de las fuerzas y para qué servían esos vehículos, pero sobre esa materia podría pecar de ignorante 😅. De hecho, uno de los últimos camiones, llevaba una especie de bola en su parte trasera, por más que lo intenté, no pude siquiera imaginar para qué serviría eso, pero de todas maneras, verlo pasar frente a mis ojos estuvo muy interesante.
We walked a little further with my best friend, and we arrived at the volunteer fire station and we saw that there, the same firefighters, were selling hot drinks, sweet cakes, rosettes and some other items, so we took the opportunity to buy a coffee and some portions of quince and sweet potato pasta, to warm the body a little since there was a lot of wind, and that made us even colder.
Just as we got there, it was time for our firefighters on parade. I think that was the most exciting thing, watching them walk with their heavy suits and behind them the different vehicles they use and at the same time sounding their distinctive siren. Well, they are volunteer firefighters, they do that work truly for the love of the job, without pay and that is truly admirable!
Caminamos un poco más con mi mejor amiga, y llegamos hasta la estación de bomberos voluntarios y vimos que allí, los mismos bomberos, estaban vendiendo bebidas calientes, pasteles dulces, escarapelas y algunos otros artículos, por lo que aprovechamos para comprar un café y unas porciones de pasta frola de membrillo y batata, para calentar un poco el cuerpo ya que había bastante viento, y eso nos daba aún más frío.Justo cuando nos estuvimos ahí, llegaba la hora de nuestros bomberos en el desfile. Creo que eso fue lo más emocionante, viéndolos caminar con sus pesados trajes y detrás de ellos los diferentes vehículos que utilizan y al mismo tiempo haciendo sonar su tan distintiva sirena. Pues ellos son bomberos voluntarios, realizan esa labor verdaderamente por amor al oficio, sin goce de sueldo y eso es realmente admirable!
At the end of the parade, my friend and I stayed for a while in the central square, we walked through the large fair that is held there every weekend and before returning home, we decided to buy something to eat. In these types of places, I can usually only eat fries, since most of the fast food they sell usually contains meat and I am a vegetarian. But we found a stall where they sold VEGETARIAN HOTDOG, it was a big surprise for me, since I had never eaten one and it had been more than 7 years since I had eaten one of the normal ones. So we bought one for each of us, a side of fries and so, with the sun accompanying us, and our bellies full, we returned home in an excellent mood.
Al finalizar el desfile, con mi amiga nos quedamos un rato en la plaza central, caminamos por gran feria que allí se arma todos los fines de semana y antes de volver a casa, decidimos comprar algo para comer. En este tipos de lugares, por lo general, solo puedo comer papas fritas, ya que la mayoría de la comida rápida que venden, suele contener carne y yo soy vegetariano. Pero encontramos un puesto donde vendían PANCHOS VEGETARIANOS, fue una gran sorpresa para mí, ya que nunca había comido uno y hacía más de 7 años que no comía uno de los normales. Asique compramos uno para cada uno, una guarnición de papas fritas y así, con el sol acompañándonos, y las panzas llenas, volvimos a casa con un humor excelente.
