    Once again, it's another week of the Weekly Battle Mage Challenge. The ruleset for this week is Ferocity. In this ruleset, All units have a Fury ability. The Fury ability deals double damage to a unit with a taunt ability. So in this ruleset, avoid using units with taunt. Below are the monsters with taunt ability.

    My battle took place in a sps dao free tournament called the Ferexian Modern Silver Invitational I'm only in 77th place in this tournament. Come, let's see how I won in this ruleset.

    BATTLE CONDITION

    55 Mana cap the elements that you can use is fire, water, death and dragon. The ruleset are Healed Put, Blood and Sunder and Ferocity.

    TEAM COMPOSITION

    The summoner I chose for this battle is Possibilus The Wise, a water summoner that grants +2 life, trample, and reach abilities to all units. I picked him because one ruleset is Blood and Sunder where all units have Corrosive Ward, weakening the enemy's armor. So I think Possibilus is suitable for this ruleset. For the 1st position, I selected Coeurl Lurker, a melee attacker with taunt, dodge, and phase abilities. I chose him even though he has a taunt ability because I need his phase and dodge abilities in this battle. Because of his phase and taunt abilities, there's a chance the enemy's attack might miss him. For the 2nd position, I chose Kulu Mastermind, a melee attacker with Weapons Training, opportunity, and shield abilities. Kulu's weapons training ability will give melee attack ability to Baakjira. And because of Possibilus's trample ability, if Kulu Mastermind manages to kill, there's a chance it can trample the enemy. For the 3rd position, I selected Baakjira, a non-attacking monster with slow, strengthen, and void abilities. To slow down the enemy because slow has an effect on speed, there's a chance the enemy might miss Coeurl Lurker. For the 4th position, I chose Daarg Deadblast, a magic attacker with Weapons Training and swiftness. Daarg Deadblast's weapons training will provide additional magic attack ability to Baakjira and magic attack ability to Clockwork Aide. Daarg Deadblast's swiftness will increase the speed of all units. For the 5th position, I chose Clockwork Aide, a non-attacking monster with swiftness ability. Clockwork Aide's swiftness ability will provide additional speed to all units. And for the last position, I selected River Hellondale, a magic attacker with resurrect and inspire abilities. River Hellondale's inspire ability will provide additional melee attack damage to all melee attackers. And his resurrect ability will resurrect the first unit that dies in battle.

    Even though Coeurl Lurker has taunt and it's possible that the double damage effect will apply to him, there's a chance that attacks might miss him because of his phase and dodge abilities. He will have an advantage in speed against the opponent, so there's a high chance attacks will miss him.

    BATTLE SUMMARY

    Due to Coeurl Lurker's speed advantage, there's a high chance that the enemy's attacks will miss him, so in round 1, not all of the enemy's attacks hit him.

    In round 2, the opponent's Deeplurker killed Croeurl Lurker. But because of River Hellondale's resurrect ability, he came back to life.

    In round 3, because Croeurl Lurker was revived in round 2, he retaliated and killed the opponent's Coastal Sentry.

    In round 5, the opponent was almost defeated, lacking only one attack to finish the battle, so it reached round 6. Therefore, at the start of round 6, only one attack was needed to kill Venari Wavesmith. Thus, the battle ended in round 6.

    CONCLUSION

    • For me, my plan to speed up Croeurl Lurker to have a greater chance of his phase and dodge abilities being effective was successful.

    • There's also a high percentage of winning the battle when you're faster than your opponent, especially when you both have similar strategies.
