On International Women's Day, I officially moderated (emceed) a GRASAG-KNUST Program dubbed, SHErules: Redefining narratives, inspiring change on March 8, 2024 to celebrate women and the inclusive future we're actively and collectively building for ourselves.
The following highlights who an empowered woman is, springing from the conversations I moderated amongst lead female professionals in different fields;

She is one who has the ability to rethink the concept of gender equality and play my part as a woman, fully and what is expected of me, by the understanding of the redefinition that sets the tone for gender roles in the society.

She is one who has and is developing herself. She has the enlightenment about her holistic capacity building as a woman, specifically in areas such as; confidence, employable/transferable skills, networking, setting career goals, resilience and other key ingredients that adds to a solid profile that a woman could potentially possess.

Lastly, she is that woman who is financially empowered. Studies have proven the inability of women to generally participate in the world economically and financially as they would have preferred due to financial constraints and higher rate of dependency, especially on the male gender. We were taken through practical steps to build our finances from scratch, eliminating credit and consider good investments opportunities to build figures, exponentially. On building financial capacity as a woman, it was indeed a prime time to have had @mcsamm introduce the Hive Blockchain Technology to the audience. He laid emphasis on what the "the new internet" is the amazing opportunities there in and how to make a livelihood off it. I would not call that a coincidence.
I left with this short yet powerful phrase after the last session, "Gender only exists in the mind" and I bet to say that every woman who was a participant of the event left the room empowered, motivated and changed for a whole new experience as a woman! We had men grace the occasion, also.
