My Shadow Hunters/SMASh Entry and a Lemon

Yes I know it's not Halloween quite yet, but somehow I couldn't fit a leprechaun into the Shadow Hunters competition. Funny thing about the spelling, it kept wanting to double the H and the W. AI at it's very finest... But it did create a spooky looking picture which was the goal!

    My Shadow Entry!

About a month or so ago I participated in the Shadow Hunters for the first time. It was a lot of fun and I even won a prize! So I decided to give it a go again today to see if I can get lucky! Over the last couple weeks I have been looking around for any interesting shadows that I might come across and snapping a picture. So I searched through my phone's pictures and picked out a couple good ones to share with everyone today.

First up is one that happened on the side yard just outside my side door in the late afternoon. Have a look at the ghostly shadow! This one is my entry.

    The Reveal

Any guesses what caused this interesting shadow? Have a look!

Just a couple pots I had emptied out to plant something new in them. It wasn't intentional just to get the shadow, it was simply easier to stack the pots to keep the patio space clear.

    Another Fun Bonus Shadow

Next I found another interesting shadow on an old sofa that's stuffed into a back room. The shadow was kind of cool so I took a picture. Have a look!

Yes I know that old sofa is ugly... That's why it's in the backroom where no one ever goes. What do you think of the shadow? I though it was pretty cool. It's caused by a lemon tree just outside the window.

    The Lemon

Here's the lemon I promised in the title, it comes from the before mentioned tree. As a matter of fact I just picked it off the tree this morning. It's close to ripe, but I find if I pick them a little green they ripen faster in the kitchen than on the tree.

No shadow there but the tree grows some good lemons! I'm fortunate to live in a home with several citrus trees in the yard so it's nice to just go in back and pick your own oranges, lemons, or limes. One of the perks of living in southern California!

Now back to Shadow Hunters. I just wanted to say thanks to @melinda010100 for running the competition, it's a lot of fun. Feel free to join in on the fun, you can check out Melinda's post here on how to enter: https://ecency.com/hive-179017/@melinda010100/shadow-hunters-smash-contest-round-7a89cade5c0dc

Thanks for taking to to stop by and check out my post, I really appreciate it. I know it's a departure from the usual silver coins and treasure hunting, but variety is the spice of life! Have a great weekend everyone!
