But I suppose a mother would go that far if she could. There are plenty of stories about how far a mother might go for their kid. I heard a recent one about a mother whose kid was taken so she spent the next 20 years staking out the crime scene looking for any clues about her kidnappers before ultimately finding them and bringing them to justice.
It also goes to show what I've said for years now. miHoYo is totally capable of making horror games. This story if they took it further would have been horrifying. Seriously I'm pretty sure there's an indy horror game like this somewhere. Definitely the "mother who lost her child" is a sub-genre of horror.
Off of this video I think the next one should just be the event. Now if you guys play this game and if you remember 2 years ago, miHoYo released a teaser trailer for Nahida that was also terrifying. It was a repeating dream she had of her birthday and each time it reset the scene got creepier. That's another example of how good miHoYo is with horror. Actually if we jump over Star Rail- but wait lemme continue with the birthday thing lol. So the upcoming major event for v5.1 will be Nahida's birthday lol. It's basically giving her a good birthday for her to replace those wretched memories. Btw yeah this dream of her celebrating a happy birthday and then it goes sour? It's because the day of her birth she was dragged off and locked away in a bubble of confinement for the next 500 years where she wasn't even able to move. Yeah talk about horror!
Anyway Star Rail. So they had these characters Black Swan, Sparkle and Acheron. Of them I'm sure only Acheron might sound scary and only if you're a Greek mythology buff. But Sparkle was probably the scariest lol. miHoYo released a trailer for her which was like watching the Joker on crack. Yes. If the Joker was high on drugs. That's Sparkle. It was a messed up trailer! But Acheron wasn't better. Black Swan is this person that can see into people's minds. She tried that on Acheron and wow that trailer was terrifying! From the artisticly rendered physical abuse Black Swan suffered in that video to the metaphorical representations of what Black Swan was suffering in that video you really can't think too hard about it or your skin will crawl.
There was much more to the story than the horror parts so have fun checking it out and I'll see you for the birthday girl's celebration!
