3 Body Problem - Just what I needed

As I have already expressed in previous posts, I feel that it is increasingly difficult to find movies and series that are really worthwhile. Now, without wanting to be intense, the world of cinema is just a distraction and perhaps the fact of whether a content is good or not should not be taken with great importance, at the end of the day, we are not obliged to watch anything , but we must recognize that we are becoming more and more slaves to the screens, so, referring to the large amount of time we spend behind the screens of our cell phones, computers and televisions, we can at least demand that we see something that is moderately interesting.

It would be impossible to determine how many times I have discarded a series or movie because it seemed boring or because it had unnecessary filler that only seeks to meet the quota of lasting 1 hour and a half, in the case of movies, or to lengthen a season, in the case of the series or anime. The truth is that, in order not to waste our precious time, we live in search of content that at least makes us go to bed thinking about how interesting it was or that makes us eager to wait for another season or second part, a search that By the way, it is becoming more and more complicated.

So, I want to talk to you about the Netflix series “3 Body Problem”, which was recently released and has managed to earn a place in the different tops. It took me a while to give it a chance since when I saw the name I thought it was a crime series, but after my sister told me a little about it I decided to give it a try. Netflix has been disappointing me for a long time with the content it offers, in fact, I hadn't watched anything there for a while until last week when I started watching Pluto, a quite interesting anime that I haven't finished watching yet and that will surely have a review from me.

“3 Body Problem” is a fantasy, drama and science fiction series which is an adaptation of a novel of the same name. It has the particularity that among the producers are David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, the same ones who gave life to the adaptation of Game of Thrones, this fact is not minor and was undoubtedly one of the reasons to give it a chance, although you are surely I agree with me that the end of GOT was a total disappointment, but that's a different story.

This series presents us with a story in which several scientists are dying mysteriously and who have the peculiarity that they are close to making important discoveries or research, but who are somehow not liked by a certain group, so to speak. Thus, researchers get to work with the intention of finding a pattern that will help them understand the reasons why these scientists are dying.

But the story is much more than what was mentioned above, throughout the chapters we see how a series of elements, such as a super advanced game or people who disappear in security cameras, for example, complement and increase the mystery that surrounds the group of protagonist scientists, but we will soon see that these guys are not even close to the most important thing in this story and that there is an organization that from the shadows monitors any activity that they consider suspicious.

At the moment I am not going to tell you more so as not to reveal spoilers, but I think that in this writing you can get a taste of what this series offers us. In the title of the post I say that “3 Body Problem” was just what I needed since I had been waiting for something like this for a long time, different, mysterious, something that would make me think about what's next and how it could be resolved. I'm not going to say that this is the best I've seen, but without a doubt I can say that I didn't waste my time watching this interesting series, so if you have no idea what to watch right now, I recommend it.
