    “Sleep” is essential to growth and high productivity at work.

    Sleep is one of the underrated activities of men. We look down on sleeping as if it is not important in the affairs of men. We forget that sleep affects our growth, development as well as productivity at work. Studies have shown that an adult should sleep at least 8 hours a day. This is to show how important it is to humans as well as animals.

    Sleep being a natural occurrence is one of the characteristics of living things. This means that any living thing that finds it difficult to sleep is sick. However, some people depend on pills and medication before they can sleep properly. This ought not to have been the case, because, Without eventual sleep, human beings would find it impossible to survive a day. Sleep is sacrosanct and must be given proper attention.

    Productivity and efficiency at work can be attributed to the effective sleep one has. Whenever a worker has enough sleep, he's more coordinated and efficient at work. Most times when people sleep at work it's a sign that they might have tarried throughout the night. As it is said one cannot cheat nature. Anyway, if a man misses a good night's sleep he must pay for it by sleeping during the day and the day is mostly for work.

    Most times when a nap is observed at work, one can attest to the fact that relief is observed in the body and mind hence making one do his or her job diligently, how much more having a good night's sleep or rest.?

    Sleep should not be overlooked no matter what. Some organizations should take time for their workers to have a nap in between work hours. This will aid their efficiency and effectiveness as well as their productivity toward work.

    Apart from sleep aiding effectiveness and high productivity, it also helps in child growth and development. When children sleep, it facilitates their growth. It strengthens their muscles and bones. Among adults, having a good and sound sleep helps refresh the body hence aiding bodily development as well as the mind.

    However, as a person, I do not joke with my sleep. I go to bed early every day because I know that “early to bed is early to rise”. I plan my day early in bed before even getting out of it.
