Have A Look, Take A Book
Do you like reading books? I grew up with storybooks adorned with pretty pictures when I was little. If I look back on my past, I started liking reading books because of those picture books. Then, I started to enjoy reading novels when I was in early school. Of course, I liked reading comics as well.
Then..., I started collecting books, but it became a 'Tsundoku' style.
Tsundoku (積ん読) is the phenomenon of acquiring reading materials but letting them pile up in one's home without reading them. Wikipedia
I liked being surrounded by books before, but not anymore! I don't have books like before anymore. I keep a few books on my shelf, but mostly I donate or get rid of them after reading them. In my area, I can donate to thrift stores, second-hand bookstores, or community library boxes.
I like to donate my books to the community library boxes sometimes. The photo is of the mini library box near my town. It is a very useful and friendly eco-style for community people. There are some similar spots everywhere in towns, so after reading books, you drop them off at these boxes. This time, I donated some of my books because they looked a bit empty.

皆さんは読書が好きですか？私は小さな頃にかわいい挿絵の入った絵本を読んで育ちました。過去を振り返ってみると、その絵本のおかげで本が好きになったのだと思います。その後、学生初期の頃に小説を読むのが好きになりました。もちろん漫画を読むのも好きでした。
そして…、本を集めるようになって、積ん読スタイルになってしまいました。
そのころは本に囲まれるのが心地よかったのですが、今はもう違います。以前のようにたくさんの本を所持することはなくなりました。少しだけ棚にありますが、ほとんどは読み終わったら寄付します。今住んでいる地域ではスリフトストア、中古の本屋さんか地域のコミュニティー図書ボックスに寄付することができます。
私はこのコミュニティー図書ボックスにときどき本を寄付するのが好きです。この写真は近隣の町にある図書ボックスです。とても便利で地域の人々に役立つエコスタイルだと思います。他の町にも同じような図書ボックスがいくつかあって、読み終わったら返すことができます。今回は、図書ボックスに隙間がかなり空いていたので、本を寄付してきました。
