If my actions and activities could bring harm to others, it's better for me not to exist among humans because if we care for each other, we would look out for one another at all times. A lot of people engage in community service because they were forced to do so as a corporal punishment for some misdeed. I can see community service where they are asked to wash the public toilets or clean the roads; even though such is not in place in my country, it is highly commendable.
If our streets are dirty, people can get sick/infected. One of the greatest community services we can do is to keep our streets clean. And if you do well to clean your gutters, drainage, and leave our streets plastic-free, we appreciate what you do for our earth as much as I do the same; hence, one of the greatest community services we can do that to both protects our earth and our lives is to keep our environment clean. We all are encouraged to engage in these simple community services.

On the other hand, aside from these community services, I also volunteer with one or two organizations. The first of them is that I work as a volunteer for "The Faithful City of Truth NGO," which specializes in bringing light and life to kids in the orphanage. Oftentimes we visit the orphanage, going along with foodstuffs and items needed by the children. We source funds that are used and useful for meeting the children's needs.
Recently we have gone there and organized a skill acquisition campaign for the children in which we teach them some basic skills that can assist them with finances. We should have the children market their products when they get very creative and produce some items worthy of the markets. The children in the orphanage are also humans and deserve to live a normal life; hence, there is more to teach them on how to overcome low self-esteem and go make sure that they fit into our society well without feeling inferior just because they lost their parents. I'm happy to be a part of the team that is shaping these young minds to live a normal life.
In another vein, I volunteer with a sickle cell NGO, being a warrior myself. I understand the challenges that can come with having to live your entire life with this health challenge. We teach the young ones how to manage their pains, take care of themselves well, and live life to the fullest. We also guide and counsel intending couples on genotype compatibility before marriage.
Living with a health challenge doesn't mean that they cannot achieve their goals in life; despite the limitations and stigmatization, a lot of warriors have come out to be in the top places and best positions in life. Just by sharpening the mindset of the young ones, we help them fulfill their dreams. Free medical checkups and drugs are made available by the NGO and, of course, bonding time and parties for these warriors. It had been a beautiful experience helping others live beyond a painful life to make some gains in life.
If there is more to do for people, I am always available for outreaches and other services organized by the church as well. Service to humanity is service to God; whoever does this must do so out of a pure heart and clear conscience, not for eye service but for the good and benefits of our fellow humans.
