Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. Music has been a source of inspiration and motivation in the past. Currently, music writers are lacking in these things. They only like to focus on what is trending. Moreover, storytelling is not their focus; they only focus on how to hit millions of views on Spotify, Reels, Instagram, Snaps, and TikTok. This shift has resulted in a loss of connection between music and its listeners. The music Industry and Artists should think about the purpose of music instead of business; they are developing through music.
I Love Classical Music, Why?
Whether it is my Android or my laptop, they are filled with classical music. I'm living in the 20th century, but still, I love to hear lyrics from the 19th century. I'm a modern man, but my choices are different. I love to listen to what can energize my soul instantly. Believe me, my favorite singers are still ruling the world. If you are a music lover, then you will be aware of the Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Noor Jahan. They both have served the music industry not only due to their magical voices but also their impressive lyrics. It is said that there was a conflict between Pakistan and India. Nor Jahan sang a song to motivate our army. From here, you can understand the depth and profound message the old artists have delivered through music. Music should be heart-touching, and its lyrics will influence our brains. That is my priority in music.
Instead of hitting trends, we need to emphasize music writers for putting elements in music that are a source of inspiration and motivation. There was a time when music was enough to trap the attention of all people. They were so lost in the lyrics that they lost their consciousness. It is more effective than alcohol, which people nowadays drink to forget worries, depression, and sadness. Sad People joined the musical party and found their survival in the lyrics. We have to accept modern artists are lacking in sentimental words; hence, they have forgotten how to play with emotions. I agree wars can't be won by music only, but people can be gathered on specific themes through music.
Final Thoughts
The world in this century is so fast that we can't measure its intensity. People didn't have time to sit together and arrange a classical music party. Courtesy of Technology, they can listen to what they want. To leave an impact on the world through music is not so hard nowadays. There are several applications where you can spread your musical talent to the whole world. As we are moving towards ease, no one will care about what inspiration and motivation are needed in the world. Our Focus should not be on viewers and listeners only; our focus should be on how our words will impact the world. I have also listened to some top trending songs, but I resisted for more than 1 minute. I asked myself, "Aslam! What nonsense are you listening to? Its lyrics are not enough to change your mood." Believe me, I closed the song and started listening to classical. I not only listened to the classical songs but also danced with their lyrics. Artists and music writers should train and educate singers on what positivity a music should have. They should add inspiration, motivation, and influence through effective storytelling in the music. Being a Music lover, I always pray to God we shall not lose the taste of revival through music.
