I have a special fondness for these photos because I took them with a homemade beauty dish. I might make a mini tutorial on how to make one later, but it’s not very complicated. In fact, I'm thinking about how to improve this tool because it produces a light that I really like, but it’s also difficult to use. Depending on the context, it can be complicated since it’s also visually unattractive, haha.
Estas fotos les tengo especial cariño porque las hice con un beautydish que hice de forma casera. Podría hacer luego un mini tutorial de cómo hacerlo, pero no tiene gran complicación. De hecho, estoy pensando en cómo mejorar este instrumento porque produce una luz que me gusta muchísimo, pero también es difícil de usar y, según el contexto, también lo hace complicado ya que es visualmente feo, jaja.
I coordinated these photos with Rohan, who is the model, free of charge just for the pleasure of taking the photos. I wanted to create content and, as with much of what I do, I ended up planning it poorly—not because of the photos, but the content. In the end, it's a photo session where I really liked the overall material, and you could say I tackled various aspects in it. The final result pleased me a lot because it ended up with a clear aesthetic, which was what I was aiming for.
Estas fotos las coordiné con Rohan, que es el modelo, gratis solo por el placer de hacer las fotos. Quería hacer contenido y, como mucho de lo que hago, terminé planificándolo mal, pero no por las fotos, sino por el contenido. Al final, es una sesión de fotos cuyo material general me gustó bastante y se podría decir que ataqué varios frentes en ella, pero el resultado final a mí me gustó mucho porque terminó quedando con una estética clara, que era lo que buscaba.
Well, I hope you like these photos. It's a "simple" lighting setup, but not of lesser value for that. I realize I've been consistent with these single-light setups for a while, but what I do is move it a lot and direct the model accordingly. I hope you like them.
Bueno, espero les gusten estas fotos. Es un esquema de iluminación "sencillo", pero no por eso con menos valor. Me doy cuenta de que llevo tiempo siendo limpio con estos esquemas de una luz, pero lo que sí hago es moverla mucho y dirigir al modelo en ese proceso. Espero les guste.
