Debunk a myth - Tell us of stories you've heard or things you've seen that you think are less important, less good, or less true than it has been made to appear.
Growing up as a child, their are stories that i heard and i believed it's true. But as an adult, i have come to realize that it's less important, less good and at the same time, less true. Why, most of them didn't happen but was made to appear. Let me start by telling you one of the stories.
A story of two brothers.
I heard this story am about to share when i was still a child. Back then, i believed it including others. But right now, it's less true to me because it didn't happen. It was about two brothers whom their father was a king. So, their father looking at his age, wanted to leave his trone to a capable hand not all about who is the senior among his two son's. So, the king agreed with his wife that their two son's, should go in search of a particular flower. Whoever that finds the flower and returned home with it, will be crowned the hair to the throne. The story didn't mention the flower but it's sample was given to the prince's.
While they were in search of the flower in the bush, the younger siblings saw it first. He started calling his senior brother so that both of them can return home together since he is the only one je has. When the elder brother arrived, the younger one told him.
I have found the flower, let's return home together and told that we found it together so that both of us will be crowned.
Well, the see brother being jealous of his younger brother, killed him and went home with the flower. After one week, his younger brother was no where to be found. When his parents asked him, he said.
I asked him to go home with me when i found the flowers but he insisted on getting his before returning home. He started forcing his father yo crown him while waiting for his brothers arrival.
Finally his father succumbed for his continuous persuasion. On his coronation day, a bed came singing in one of the trees near the palace. As soon as the bed started singing, blood filled the entrance of the palace. That's strange says the king and tje God's of the land was consolted. And it was revealed the secret of what the first son did to his younger brother out of envy and jealousy. It's a story that i heard but because it didn't happen, it's less important to me.
