Surviving The Unsurvivable
Survival Mode is the newest format introduced in the game. It doesn't consume energy. It consumes your cards instead when they die in the battle. When you lose, the summoner dies with the team. Dead cards gets a cooldown and wont be usable everywhere in the game - ranked, brawls and wagons. In this post, I will share some humble tips how to survive this mode. Disclamer: I am only at Bronze league in this mode and only using some extra cards in my other accounts. If you are looking for higher tier tips, please go to Splinterlands Community for better posts. With that out of the way, lets begin.

Tips In Surviving Survival Mode
Create Your Main Team

It is of utmost importance that you should build your main team. A team that can support each other and win the battle. Remember, even if you win the units that die would still be in cooldown. So it matters that units can heal itself, heal/buff others and debuff the opponent. For lower leagues, Quora Townshead is good card because of heal and bloodlust. Summoners like Eternal Tofu and Immortalis are so OP due to the abilities they bestow to the team.
Opportunity Monsters At Bay

Opportunity monsters are a must in this mode. Imagine killing most of the enemies' units an powerful Opportunity units like Olivia Of The Brook, Deeplurker, Runi and Serpentine Spy. Low health units are very fragile at this point and monsters such as these take advantage of them.

Always Look At Enemy's History

Looking at the enemy's past battles tell you a lot about their team. If you see some not maxed units, use your main team or at least reliable ones you have in waiting. Sometimes, losing by purpose is a good move specially if you see the cards of the enemy to be at maxed or over-powered.
Only Seasonal Rentals Can Be Used

The most common mistake, players make is to rent cards daily instead of seasonal for Survival mode. This makes the mode fair for everyone and avoid players to exploit the game by renting cards for few days when they lose. This also eases the burden of cards being unrented by the owners in the middle of the rent. So this protects not only the renters but those who rent to play.
