Hello my dear friends! I hope you are fine. As you know, this week we celebrate Holy Week, which is very important for us Catholics, and this year I have the opportunity to have a great time, so today I'm here to share with you my experiences so far this week.
¡Hola, mis queridos amigos! Espero se encuentren muy bien. Como saben, esta semana se celebra la Semana Santa la cual es muy importante para nosotros los católicos, y este año tengo la oportunidad de pasarla muy bien, así que hoy estoy por aquí para compartir con ustedes mis experiencias en lo que va de esta semana.
This has been a very different Holy Week, since as I am in confirmation catechism I have had to spend the rest of the week inside the Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria church because last Palm Sunday since my group of Confirmants, we had to distribute palms at the first mass of the day at 7 in the morning, and although it was a somewhat complex experience because we had to deal with somewhat obtuse people who got upset for anything, or because they wanted more palms than we were authorized to distribute. Thanks to the fact that we are a somewhat large group, we had the opportunity to organize ourselves and in the end the experience became a little exciting. I really liked this activity because I had the opportunity to share something different with all my friends in the group.
Esta ha sido una Semana Santa muy diferente, ya que como me encuentro en catequesis de confirmación he tenido que pasar lo que va de la semana, dentro de la iglesia Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria desde el pasado Domingo de Ramos ya que a mi grupo de confirmantes nos tocó repartir palmas en la primera misa del día a las 7 de la mañana, y aunque fue una experiencia un tanto compleja ya que tuvimos que lidiar personas un poco obtusas que se molestaban por cualquier cosa, o porque querían más palmas de las que estábamos autorizados a repartir. Gracias a que somos un grupo un poco grande tuvimos la oportunidad de organizarnos y al final la experiencia se volvió un poco emocionante. Me gustó mucho esta actividad ya que tuve la oportunidad de compartir algo diferente con todos mis amigos del grupo.
From Sunday until yesterday I also had the opportunity to collaborate with the preparation of a banner representing our catechism group which we will take tomorrow to a mass that we will celebrate in the Cathedral of Caracas and it will be very important because we will receive the oils that will be given to us on the day of our Confirmation, and since I do pastoral life in the Sanctuary, they recruited me to help do it. It really was another very nice experience because I had the opportunity to share with my Catechist assistants and friends, and spend pleasant afternoons with them. I'm very happy with the result because it will be a nice tribute to our Priests and Deacon whose surprise we will give them tomorrow.
Desde el domingo hasta el día de ayer también tuve la oportunidad de colaborar con la elaboración de una pancarta en representación de nuestro grupo de catequesis la cual llevaremos el día de mañana a una misa que celebraremos en la Catedral de Caracas y será muy importante ya que recibiremos los aceites que nos pondrán el día de nuestra Confirmación, y como yo hago vida pastoral en el Santuario me reclutaron para ayudar a hacerla. De verdad que fue otra experiencia muy bonita ya que tuve la oportunidad de compartir con mis auxiliares de Catequistas y amigas, y pasar tardes agradables con ellas. Estoy muy feliz del resultado ya que será un bonito homenaje a nuestros Sacerdotes y Diácono cuya sorpresa les daremos el dia de mañana.
Yesterday I had another nice experience because I had the opportunity to participate in the realization of a living Stations of the Cross in Candelaria Square in front of the Church with my group and it was also beautiful. Despite my strong feelings because they chose me to help put the characters' makeup on and collaborate in the preparations, it was still very nice because the result was excellent and satisfactory. Although they were long weeks of rehearsal, I feel very proud of the work we all accomplished. I had the opportunity to play 3 roles and it was a very nice and different experience.
Ayer tuve otra bonita experiencia ya que tuve la oportunidad de participar en la realización de un via crucis viviente en la Plaza Candelaria frente a la Iglesia junto a mi grupo y también fue hermoso. A pesar de yo tenerla fuerte ya que me escogieron para ayudar a maquillar a los personajes y colaborar en los preparativos igual fue muy lindo ya que el resultado fue excelente y satisfactorio. Aunque fueron largas semanas de ensayo, me siento muy orgullosa del trabajo que logramos todos. Yo tuve la oportunidad de representar 3 papeles y fue una experiencia muy bonita y diferente.
The week is not over yet and I'm excited for the activities to come. The experience of being in catechesis is truly very nice because I have had the opportunity to learn many things, make very good friends and meet very beautiful people who also have taught a lot. I confess that at first when they told us about everything we would do at Easter, I was very excited to participate and wanted to be absent, however, thank Goodness I didn't because it has been something very nice. This week I have been absent from the platform due to this beautiful experience that I'm living, which has been very rewarding and it has been a real pleasure to share this first part with you.
Todavía la semana no termina y estoy emocionada por las actividades que vendrán, de verdad que la experiencia de estar en catequesis es muy bonita ya que he tenido la oportunidad de aprender muchas cosas, hacer muy buenos amigos y conocer a gente muy bella que también me han enseñado bastante. Les confieso que al principio cuando nos hablaron de todo lo que haríamos en Semana Santa mo estaba muy animada de participar y quería ausentarme sin embargo, menos mal no lo hice ya que ha sido algo muy bonito. Esta semana he estado ausente en la plataforma debido a esta hermosa experiencia que estoy viviendo la cual ha sido muy gratificante y ha sido un verdadero placer compartir esta primera parte con ustedes.
