Today was one of those days when my husband asked for my help with some tasks he needed to get done. I find these moments incredibly heartwarming because we get to spend quality time together. Everything went smoothly, we got things sorted, and headed out.
Hoy fue uno de esos días en los que mi esposo me pidió que lo ayudara en unos trabajos que debía hacer. A mi me parece esto algo lindo pues pasamos tiempo juntos. Y todo iba bien, nos arreglamos y salimos.
Hoje foi um daqueles dias em que meu marido me pediu ajuda com algumas tarefas que precisava fazer. Achei isso tão bonito, porque passamos um tempo juntos. Tudo correu bem, nos arrumamos e saímos.
After a few hours on the road, the motorcycle started making some strange movements, and thankfully, H didn't lose control. Instead, he managed to steer it safely to the side of the road. It was really scary for me because there were a lot of heavy trucks and other vehicles passing by on this road. When we checked, we found out that the cause was a loose chain on the motorcycle, which eventually came off completely. H mentioned that there must have been some issue with the gears.
Después de unas horas en la vía, la moto hizo unos movimientos extraños y menos mal H no perdió el control sino que como pudo la llevó hasta la orilla de la carretera. Me dió mucho miedo pues en esta vía pasan muchas gandolas y otros veículos pesados. Cuando vimos la causa fue que la cadena de la moto estaba floja y terminó de salirse, H mencionó que la relación debía tener alguna falla.
Depois de algumas horas na estrada, a moto começou a fazer movimentos estranhos e por sorte H não perdeu o controle, mas conseguiu levá-la até o acostamento. Fiquei com muito medo, pois nesta via passam muitos caminhões e outros veículos pesados. Quando vimos a causa, percebemos que a corrente da moto estava frouxa e acabou saindo. H mencionou que a relação deve ter algum problema.

We were able to get the number of a mechanic who came to our rescue. This was a problem with the bike that we knew needed fixing, but we didn't realize the urgency until we had a scare because of it. As a wife, I saw firsthand the impact we can have on our partner, both positively and negatively, through what we say and our attitude. I became aware that it was the responsibility of both of us—and that in the heat of the moment, with hunger and exhaustion, arguing or complaining would only make things worse. I decided to join him in expressing gratitude for the fact that it wasn't worse and that we didn't have a scratch.
Pudimos conseguir el número de un mecánico que nos fue a auxiliar. Esta era una falla que sabíamos que debíamos arreglar en la moto pero no vimos la urgencia hasta que llevamos un susto por eso. Como esposa ví el efecto que podemos tener en nuestra pareja tanto para bien como para mal en las cosas que decimos y también por nuestra actitud. Fuí conciente de que era responsabilidad de ambos-y que con calor, hambre y cansancio-discutir o reclamar sólo empeoraría las cosas. Decidí agradecer junto con él el hecho de que no fue peor y que no teníamos ni un rasjuño.
Conseguimos o número de um mecânico que veio nos ajudar. Sabíamos que era um problema na moto que precisávamos consertar, mas não percebemos a urgência até termos um susto por causa disso. Como esposa, percebi o impacto que podemos ter em nosso parceiro, tanto positivamente quanto negativamente, pelo que dizemos e também pela nossa atitude. Conscienciei-me de que era responsabilidade de ambos - e que, com calor, fome e cansaço - discutir ou reclamar só pioraria as coisas. Decidi agradecer junto com ele o fato de não ter sido pior e de não termos nem um arranhão.
We went to the mechanic, and he fixed it. The price felt like a stab in the heart, but it was much cheaper than having to cover a hospital bill for a broken bone 😅.
Fuimos al mecánico y la arregló, el precio fue casi un puñal en el corazón pero mucho más barato que tener que costear un hospital por algún hueso quebrado 😅.

Positivity truly pays off in tough situations; it's better to nip negative feelings in the bud as they only worsen the situation. It never hurts to anticipate and prevent any potential hiccups. Thanks for being there for me; everything's fine here, and I hope all is well with you too! 💛
Sin duda ganamos más siendo positívos ante las situaciones difíciles, es mejor frenar los malos sentimientos que sólo empeorarían la situación. Y nunca está de más prevenir cualquier posible inconveniente y evitarlo.
