It's a pleasure for me to participate in the Afri Tune Week 109 music competition. I have been following the activities of the people here and I must say that I am thrilled with them hence I am also compelled to participate.

In the process of looking for a song to present in this week's competition I finally settled with one of my favorite songs by Nathaniel Bassey “the champion the host above”. This song has been on repeat for quite a long time now. I love this song because of the strong lyrics it has. The song is a song of testimony to all believers all over the world. Jesus Christ is our champion. And in him alone we make our boost and no one else. Through Jesus Christ, we are saved from sin and hell. A believer in Christ should be proud of this and be boastful of this fact.

Nathanial Bassey is a popular Nigerian gospel artist who has recorded hundreds of songs which are popular both in the country and across board. “The Champion of the Host " is one of his popular songs. Which has been performed by other artists.

Take a look at the lyrics

I come before my lord and king
The one who gave his life for me
I'll raise the banner of his name
Until the nations call on him
The champion of the hosts above
    And captain of my destiny
In you alone I make my boast
You reign alone as lord of all

We sing we sing as one with heaven's choir
The praises of our savior the praises of our savior king
Emmanuel he's God with us our God with us
He redeemed us all from hell and sin
The champion of the hosts above
    And captain of my destiny
In you alone in you alone I make my boast
You reign alone as lord of all

I hope you fine this song interesting and entertaining.
