A brief imagery glimpse of me

I was never really a fan of a mirror. Probably because I had a low self-esteem of my image, I loved pictures but did not really see myself in them. I practically hated taking pictures, especially when I was younger, mostly because I did not appreciate the image of myself that I saw on photos. However, thanks to my love for images of others, I had a load of pictures to myself.

I bought my first camera in junior secondary school about two decades ago and took very numerous pictures of my classmates and sometimes of nature. I remember capturing the setting sun in one of my pictures. Thanks to the school's main photographer, I was able to print most of the images. He was handy to take the films and print those I wanted. My friends would not pay for the pictures, probably because of the quality or because they were considered unnecessary.

I began to creep out of my hole in my undergraduate years as a student. I did not necessarily take many pictures, but fair enough, I had a few pictures that I was still not satisfied with. You could imagine the feel of the ugly me. And then the transformation came. Not necessarily the filters, but the style and mood of those pictures. The shell of low self-esteem was shattered, and the pictures of myself began to pop up on social media and flood timelines, except that I have reduced the snapshots recently.

So, let's take a ride with some of my pictures.

    IMAGE OF ME?

This very picture was taken about 5 years ago, and someone had to ask if this was me, which prompted me to check it again. Definitely, it was me, but my expression was a little different, and my small beards were not shaved as I loved them to be often. I love the innocence and simplicity of this picture; it speaks volumes for me. I observed my compulsory NYSC in Kebbi, and it was hectic, from the weather to the people. Nonetheless, I survived well.

    WORK IMAGES
You can guess right that I'm a medic here in Nigeria, and sometimes we just love to flaunt our stethoscopes. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Of course, you could like doctors in scrubs and sometimes just the ward coat. Oftentimes, I'm exhausted at work, and smiling may be difficult; nonetheless, we give it a shot.

    NATIVE WEARS
Nigeria is a rich culture, and we express most of our cultures through our dress sense. You could easily depict an individual from the type of clothes he puts on. For me, I use wedding occasions as an opportunity to go on natives, and here you can see a few shots. I once got a compliment that the position of senator would fit me, and I seem to agree with that.

    CORPORATE WEARS
I never used to like wearing suits, probably because of the harsh weather. And, I just didn't like corporate wear, even since I was in school. But hey, I don't look bad in them. I could be a 'take-home-to-mama'

    CASUALS
When I'm not at work, you'll probably see me in casual wear, and I have been tagged as a student probably because of how small or simple I am in such wear.

    MIRROR IMAGES
Mirror images could be sweet to behold. Here, we often use mirrors from the restroom and white, neat tiles as the background. Mirror images can be a sweet shot.

    BLACK AND WHITE IMAGES
I just love black-and-white pictures. It kind of brings out a unique variety and spark to your look.
