Nature And Humans. #Reflections Hunters Contest Round 213

Last Sunday was supposed to be a day of celebrations and merriments. That was the day the Muslim faithful celebrated their Ramadan. Ramadan is the fasting which Muslims usually observe yearly as one of their religious festivals. It usually lasted about 30 days.

The Ramadan fast is religiously treasured by the Muslims. I once heard from a friend that the fast is meant to wash away all their sins. But I don't know how realistic that could be. Could someone who has done terrible havoc to others' lives just get his sins forgiven because he has done some kind of a fast? So, there is a license to keep doing evil and when it is Ramadan you fast so that God could declare you justified. Well, I can’t say much about that.

But the Sunday which was acclaimed to be Salah ended up in a bloody manner. We had a terrible rain storm. I’m talking of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. The storm was so terrible that many houses collapsed. In fact, several deaths were recorded. That is the work of nature. Can we stop nature when it wants to act? Many times, I have heard people talk about stopping the rain from falling. If they could do that, why couldn't they stop such a deadly and destructive storm? Well, I'm only sharing a thought.
