Hello coffee lovers, it has been a few days since I have been with you, due to the difficulties that I have had with communications, but I take advantage today that I have the opportunity to connect and I get excited with the topic that this week's prompt suggests, because in my country there is a strong movement in this to venture into opening coffee shops and small businesses.
I want to explain that not all provinces and neighborhoods in Cuba have the same characteristics. I am going to refer first of all to Havana, which is our capital and is made up of 14 municipalities; there are some such as Old Havana, Playa, Plaza and certain areas of Central Havana that are more developed because they have the most prosperous ministries, hotels and businesses, money circulates more in that area and there are better conditions for its flourishing.
I live in a peripheral municipality and the coffee shops are more modest, just yesterday I visited a Barrio coffee shop, of which I have heard about, it is not exactly from my neighborhood, it is located in the municipality of La Lisa, which is also one of the peripheral ones.
This coffee shop has stood out in its area and even though it is located in a distant place it has become very popular in Havana, the first thing that caught my attention was its name Kafé Barrio.
From there I began to know about the place and it is really very original and creative, it is located on the road 222 and a fairly populated alley, the location is very strategic, because in front of it there is a bus stop, which makes many people are concentrated there for long hours and always need to consume something in the cafeteria.
Creativity characterizes this cafeteria, it has varied offers and prices for those with greater solvency as well as for those with less purchasing power and what everyone appreciates is that quality is present in all products.
The decoration is very nice and typical, it has a fast food area and another room for those who are going to stay longer, the nice thing is precisely in the simplicity and originality, a fountain of stones, a tree with lights and a clean detail that makes you feel very comfortable.
The attention is fast and careful, their employees are extremely attentive and explain the services of the place, if I must tell you that they still do not have coffee machines, they do it with the typical coffee makers, but their coffee tastes very good because it is of good quality.
One of the services that have surprised and pleased the diners of the place is that they have made a connection with the artists of the area and therefore on Saturdays and Sundays they offer different events, ranging from Karaoke to painting exhibitions, thus creating a link between the artistic community and coffee lovers, those who are regular visitors have special offers and prices.
All of the above has made this coffee shop a very popular place in its area and in the surrounding neighborhoods, as is my case.
