One of the genres that I love when it comes to movies is romance. I've already watched many of this kind. The most recent that I've watched is "Purple Hearts" which means a "symbol of sacrifice" in this film.

Purple Hearts is a romantic drama film that follows an aspiring singer-songwriter, Cassie Salazar (Sofia Carson) and a troubled Marine trainee soldier, Luke Morrow (Nicholas Galitzine) who both agreed to have a fake marriage for health benefits and to pay off debts. It's a story about two people who got together despite their differences.

One thing I liked about the film is the story. It is really amazing, there were many twists and turns, and I loved the way they explored the relationship as it grew.
The acting was convincing and the songs that Cassie wrote were really amazing. Her music fitted seamlessly into the story, especially the song "Come Back Home". It's somewhat nostalgic for me because I'm also the wife of a retired soldier, so I can feel their pain seeing their loved ones leaving for a mission to serve the country.

The scene that involved what soldiers have to go through sacrificing everything for their country leaving their families behind is really painful.
This movie is not as idealistic as other movies but instead, keeps a realistic outlook and issues in a relationship and growth.

It's such a good movie and the rest of the characters were superb. And before I forget, you will love their cute and smart dog named Peaches.
So to anyone who wants to see a fantastic love story, I highly recommend you watch this film. It's truly heartwarming and it's really worth the watch!!
